I started Minecraft when it used to have only about 9 blocks, no mobs and no way to save because it was a browser game to spend my time in school. Now I’m an adult and it’s a better metaverse. Too late to explore the world, too early to explore the universe but holy shit, what a time to be alive! Thank you Mango, your content means a lot to me.
  • @ThundersLeague
3:30 "I tested this for 800 hours. I left my computer on the whole night" - Damn, Mango sleeps a lot... Alternatively... Now we know why Mango is so good at redstone. He probably spent a few nights of 800 hours playing with redstone.
  • @ibluewolf7937
Very important: Have the two portals facing south-north directions or west-east directions, but do not have different directions.
  • @JavierSalcedoC
Plot twist: Mango makes his redstone tests from Mercury (Mercury's night is about 700 hours, but Venus is even longer with about 2900 hours)

If you put a hopper minecart inside the top dropper the system would be pretty foolproof and more compact too, though that causes a lot more lag than this design.
  • @skaraolo347
This is great. The other "simple" chunk loader designs from other content creators constantly fail. But you put a lot of work into it to make it fail proof. Thats why you are the best tech Minecraft YouTuber
  • @Jonny_XD_
I just love how much simpler this design is !
  • @Flamme506
    12 obsidian (I think) 6 building blocks 4 hopper 4 dropper 2 comparator 2 redstone dust 2 lever 2 trapdoors 2 observers
  • @lonestar7699
@ilmango how about Boats and fire? DocM77 used it in his hermitcraft episode, it seems way less resource-intensive EDIT: Dark’s design, credit to Dark. Thanks comments!
  • @PortleyPortions
With a single video ilmango changed the meta. Chunk loading portals shall forever be 3 by 3!
  • @Skynetdotexe
Just built this in 1.20.2. It works, enjoy it!
  • @Mantuamaker
Well, just built this in 1.20.1 and it’s working. The nether portal ended up being in a fortress, so I surrounded it in glass just in case. I don’t need any random wither skellies or blazes at my base.
  • I immediately thought of chunk loaders when I read those patch notes
  • @baesti
nice presentation, you used great pictures nice!!
  • Can an observer detect when the sculk sensor senses a sound? If yes, you could make an enderpearl stasis chamber that activates when an observer detects a sculk hearing a sound made by a bell that's turned on by a long duration redstone clock, that's been kept in a loaded chunk with a chunk loader 😃
