My anxiety is off the charts after watching this video. No one to blame but myself. I'm the idiot who looked it up in the first place. I tip my hat to you, sir, for such an accomplishment. Now I'm going to lie on the floor and revel in the absolute zero risk of falling.
  • Thanks for posting this. I ended up soloing the Hornli in the ‘80’s when my partner became nervous and backed out. On the summit I met 2 climbers from Mostar who had had a fall and lost equipment including their camera. I, however had a camera and they were delighted that I could photograph their achievement. I sent them photos but soon after the civil war blew up in Yugoslavia. I often wonder what became of them as the war was brutal. Did they even end up on opposite sides? I am 68 years of age now and recovering from cancer surgery but would love to have a beer with those 2 lads.

I'd be too afraid to walk completely upright. I'd have to scoot along on my rumpis gluteus.

I fell off my chair watching this. My eyes spawn and I lost my balance...

Very good Walter - glad you and your client made it safely! God Bless always...
  • Absolutely beautiful, it makes Crib Goch in Wales look like a trip to the park. Thanks for sharing....

Walter--good one. Thanks for the shared humanity. I have a photograph on my wall from my 1985 trip to Zermatt, more of Switzerland and Austria. I did do the Klein Matterhorn cable car...

Looking forward to doing this in a year or two, assuming I can ever get fit again. I was just wondering if it's worth carrying a walking pole for the summit ridge for the extra security?
  • Congratulation 😊 Did you climb by Lion? Is it true that rocks on the Hörnli falls frequently nowadays? :)
  • @SpiritintheSky.
How on Earth is it humanly possible to do a thing like?! What self-possession!
  • @sanjapkoki
Walter, This is impressive. my son wants to know what will happen if you miss your step on one of those rocks. Will that rope hold you back?

You couldn't pay me. Even if Mr. Beast gave me $1 million I wouldn't do it. Bravo to you for summiting.
