I'm a RemNote subscriber, I noticed I spent more time on studying using the features such as flashcards, linking etc. than the actual studying my subject. RemNote I think must make it more user friendly, it's such a waste of time when I'm supposed to study but ending up studying how remnotes works and setting it up.
  • Thank you so much for this !! it took me a min to figure it out, but so happy i did! Awesome tool! , Very grateful for remnote!

Hi Matty! will you guys be doing a tutorial on the spaced repetition algorithm? or maybe showing what your scheduler looks like? thanks for the videos!

I like remnote a lot. If I get a full time job, I will pay for the pro version to support you guys!
  • A second-year studying premed here! And so far I totally love the app. I think it's such a great combination between Notion and Anki. I admit it took me one full session setting up but once I got the hang of it, the learning curve was not so steep anymore. Thanks to the creators! Would love to support the app and channel anywhere anytime <3

Two important types of cards are still missing 1-Multiple choice with radio buttons 2-Selection the true answers from a list of checkboxes Yes, I know we may reach the same result with cloze-deletion or basic flashcard, but clicking on the right choice is better UX. Well how about the self assessment buttons in case of multiple choices? First we may display these with the answer (but should be optional) In radio button case partially recalled button makes no sense In check box case if we recall partially our answer will miss some of the true answers so makes no sense User may still wish to choose between recalled with effort/recalled immediately then display these buttons if the answer is correct (but make this optional) In fact a multiple choice question should only accept immediate recall, because it is kind of passive recall and should not tolerate recall by effort. Another missing piece is cloze deletion list entry-tool. Yes we can enter a list and cloze-delete one by one. But just entering a list and declaring the card as cloze-deleting list will ease the data entry. List can be also declared as ordered/unordered. For example, TCP/IP layers : 1. Network access layer 2. Internet layer 3. Transport layer 4. Application layer Currently I shoul manually cloze-delete these items one by one. But it can be automated just declaring this cart as cloze-deleted list. You can also design the multiple choice questions as a list entry and declare the card multiple choice card with correct answer. Then it should be displayed with radio buttons and user can pick the answer with the mouse. In short: Improve your data entry tools for better UX.

I've just started using Remnote in my 2nd year at uni and it is a life saver! I struggled so much trying to take digital notes last year, that I gave up and annotated printed PDF's and that didn't work well for me either. I feel like I am actually getting somewhere now that I'm using Remnote. I'm not lost in a sea of unnecessary lecture notes, but instead clearly outlining what I need to know and using the flashcards to make it stick. Thank you!

very thoughtful flashcard types and very well thought out keyboard shortcuts and the excellent preview feature with hierarchy support - there are so many things to like here. I am here for the first time to understand RemNote better - though I have been using Anki over 10 years and have been using Obsidian for the past 3-4 years and recently tried Mochi - but not satisfied with any of them, decided to look at RemNote today.

Is there a way to convert multiple flashcards into two sided cards at once? I tried highlighting all of my flashcards and finding a way to do this in the context menu, but it solely applies the change to one of them
  • @bubbling_beez
thank u so much for this!!! im trying to find a way to review for boards and nmat and i feel like remnote will really help me but i dont know how to use it im dumb af
  • @ikerarana3568
In the flashcard preview, you can select only to go forward. Is there an option for changing that property in all the flashcards of a document? Thanks!
  • Do you type notes and make flashcards? Or do you just make your notes into flashcards. did you give us your study methods for med school?
  • @patrickquirk637
This did not show the making of an actual CARD. If I want to make a flashcard for language learning, e.g. Dear Hund = "the dog" this video is not helpful, despite being billed as "Basic Flashcards". If I am wrong, please correct me. Thank you.
  • Remnote is great! However, what stops me from leaving Notion and using this one is that Remnote does not allow for columns or tables for note taking, it is always from up to down (I get that we can make hierarchies, but for me, it's VERY important to have columns). I would love the opportunity to make more customizable notes, because, yes, I LOVE the flashcards, with their active recall and spaced repetition technique, but I am also a visual person, and to have mutiple colors, fonts, sizes, organizers, columns and stuff like that is something I NEED to have, which is exactly what stops me from using Remnote :(
