I'm recovering after hip surgery and was suffering a pretty bad muscle spasm. It felt like my upper quad was filled with concrete. So my nurse recommended I look up some relaxing music and focus on my breathing until the meds kicked in. I found this album through a Tycho song and decided to give it a listen.
By the time I hit "Footsteps" I didn't even feel the spasms anymore. Even if it was the drugs, I choose to believe the music here really got me through that. -
I feel as though at a certain point, i stopped being the main character in my own life, and shifted into the backseat letting whatever unfolds unfold

"Nana" 09:41 samples "Ponta de Areia" by Milton Nascimento and Fernando Brant. The original song depicts life around the old railroads of Minas Gerais towards Bahia, towards the sea. It is a beautiful eulogy to a past long lost but still lingering. I wonder what Vanilla meant by sampling it.
Anyway I'm glad I found this album and could figure out this reference.
