I asked my doll "Can you speak"? She answered "No" Thanks God.
  • I wonder...how often does he take her outside, realize everything, go back inside, forget again, and take her back outside to realize everything again. It's like he's stuck in a time loop. So interesting.

Love this. No jumpscares, no violence, not even an actual harmful entity. Nothing scarier than living in a delusion

It shows how he accepted the death of his child when his wife couldn't, but he didn't have the strength to lose both. That was very beautiful.
  • Imagine watering your plants and you see a weird middle aged dude crying over a creepy doll attached to another creepy doll

Finally, a doll story where the doll doesnt just kill everyone

Why do short films have to be better than full length feature films? This was really good.

"no one has ever ask for their money back" makes much more sense at the end. sad.

You're an OG if you're here from before it got age restricted! This is probably my favorite horror short, I keep coming back and a rewatch always leaves me as stunned and satisfied as I was first time I saw it. I'm also grateful cause it introduced me to Dan Berkey whose performance is simply breathtaking.

the dollmaker himself is the best thing in the movie. brilliant acting, gave me chills. the voice, the sinister smile, the look in his eyes - the everything - mindblowing! incredibly charismatic man

At least he was subconsciously clever enough to go outside But consciously dumb to go back and Belive this illusion again

Why was this 9 minute movie on Youtube, better than every Hollywood movie I watched in 2019?

So far the best short horror story The twist at the end was totally unexpected and I could feel the pain of both of them each losing a loved one.
  • It's been so long since I've seen a story that I didn't see coming from a mile away, I'd forgotten they'd existed! Beautiful!

"Nobody ever asked for their money back" yes because they're dead
  • @Wall_E.
Dude why y'all not mentioning the acting of that guy who sold them the doll, absolute class acting in my eyes
  • I love how the mother saw it as a kid and we did too, but when we got into the fathers perspective we saw the mother holding a doll. Great attention to detail imo
