NUZLOCKE RULES (HARD MODE) - THIS CHALLENGE:
--------------------------------------------
1. Only Gifted Pokemon may be used in battle.
2. If a Pokemon faints it cannot be used for the remainder of that attempt.
3. If my whole team faints then the attempt is over.
4. I cannot overlevel beyond the highest level of the next gym.
5. No items in battle (held items are okay).
6. Set mode enabled.

Koga's Forretress' Sturdy actually wouldn't have been a problem, you could OHKO it with Flamethrower because Sturdy pre-Gen 5 only prevents OHKO moves like Horn Drill from working. It only became the Focus Sash ability in Gen 5.

I love that this game gives you 2 separate opportunities to steal other people's Pokémon while suffering no repercussions. All while you take down team rocket for doing the same thing.

would be sick if you could do the Kanto part of the run and try to beat Red, following the national dex you can now get a Togetic, as well as the Kanto starters, and evolve Dratini into Dragonite with the new lvl cap
