I do have to apologize for the audio. I didn't properly test and setup my new mic before filming an entire video with it. Much of the audio is blown out in spots. Sorry

"The steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car" Jeremy Clarkson is typing...

The car originally came from Hokkaido Japan , then imported to Long Beach California, then transported on a flat bed To Texas , and now its in Illinois . I know because that was my car . Glad you like it ! 👍🏻👍🏻

It definitely looks like it could have come from Italy in the 50s or 60s.

You know... Alec is exactly the type of guy I'd expect driving a Figaro.
  • Not only is this the perfect car for him, but he some how managed to find a mechanic with the same sense of humour, and sarcasm as him to fix it 😅

"at 60mph it's revving almost 4k rpm" Hello, I'd like you to meet my 2018 Honda fit, which rev's 3K at 60.
  • @schlachthaus5
Love that sense of humor! You’re right on the money about the transmission, too. I’ve lived in Japan, and can tell you with certainty that the Japanese travel primarily by rail, as it’s the most convenient way to get around. This car definitely would have been a high-end fashion accessory.

I so want to see you two taking a test drive in it and the trabant together while bickering about nitpicky details. Feels like it would scratch that Top Gear of old itch
  • @NicholasHoward
Dude, the bit with the not-a-turbo horn had me rolling 🤣🤣
  • @ProBballChamp
Robert: "That's not a turbo" Horn: Beep!! Robert: "Ahh guhuwah!" Hahah
  • @mokeimusic
I had a Nissan Pao while i live in Japan. I drove it all over the place including from Kanagawa to Toyoma, the complete other side of Japan. Wonderful car that was practical. I even tailgated it a few times. It is such a shame that America misses out on so many great cars and car brands due to the wacky insurance companies.

"I know, because I'm him." -Aging Wheels, 2020
  • “Sea shell shaped switches” that’s a hell of a tongue twister Loved the video, Keep it up!
  • @Peterowsky
"This seashell shape, like a Figaro badge" HAVE YOU NEVER SEEN A FIG?!?
  • @redpheonix1000
"It doesn't belong to me! It belongs to this guy!" I was definitely NOT expecting that.
  • I've always wanted to see a technology connections and aging wheels colab I actualy at first watching both of them I thought they were the same people 🤣
  • @FriendlyBaron
