  • Kudos for using a harness. I feel like sometimes playing it safe is seen as "not cool" but, you guys climbed responsibly.

Good to see someone using carabiners, ropes and a harness. That way, if you slip, it is not your last one.

6 months ago I watched this video, it was so inspirational I decided my goal for 2020 was to do this hike, so I began training and trying to figure out the best way to obtain a permit, well yesterday I got an confirmation e-mail saying my half dome permit was approved, so June 10th 2020 I will be making the climb!

Climed half dome with my brother and father when I was 12 years old in 1979. Thanks for video.
  • The guy sitting on the ledge at the end instantly made me cold and clammy 😂

Thank you for promoting safe climbing 🤎

Reminds me of the time a friend and I climbed the cables. It's an amazing hike and one that is well worth it. Gloves are generally enough to get up the cables but if you feel the need to clip in to feel safe, by all means do! The cables are a huge challenge for many and some freeze and need a lot of help getting down or up. Others just look and say "no"; heading back to the valley without the summit. No shame in that. None at all. Thanks again for the reminder of a wonderful time in Yosemite!
  • March 2022. Lovely filming. It looks as if the climb is about what it was when I did it by myself in a day, age 17, in 1961. No permits or reservations required in those days, either for the Park or for the climb itself. Thank you.

Beautiful footage!! Thank you!! Currently planning a trip there this summer with my son. I hope we have as much as fun as it appears you folks had.

Thank you very much for once again sharing beautiful pictures of this magical place. It's almost as if we were there! Without the feelings and the wind on the face ;-)

The transition shot showing the beginning of the half dome cable accent was stunning. Truly puts the half dome climb in scale for people. Great work, and gorgeous footage.

You have some serious talent in video making. The two of you rock! Thanks for sharing!
  • Incredible footage. My heart was pounding. I'm currently training so I can hike half dome next year. Best view yet.
