This is the Obsidian Reactor, a nether portal obsidian farm. It is useful because it uses a new, safer wither cage and can be built anywhere in your world. It will never break when you load or unload the withers, unlike previous designs. Additionally, it consumes only flint and steel to operate! It is safest in the spawn chunks - otherwise you need a second account to load it during operation.

    Great farm and reliability features, it's possibly one of the most reliable nether based obsidian farm One important note unmentioned to whoever would like to build that farm must be built in an area with no possible areas where portal can spawn on land, ice oceans are the most reliable and caves can be dealt with just water at their start, test before building by generating a portal from the nether

    DUDE. Well done... Now i can actually get obsidian to make portal based farms... Never wanted to do the end platform thing.. too many downsides... Was thinking about doing the cubicmetre design but that also requires burning nether stars lol... This is hands down the best obsidian farm so far.

    For the record, ilmango's nether portal obsidian farm is not the only one. There are one or 2 slower ones.

    Hey! Have you considered making a tutorial on feeding blocks into a wither cage. I play on a server without TNT and have been making a lot of farms that use your wither cages. If you wanted a video idea showing how this cage and the witch based one can be used for wither roses and blocks would be kinda cool

    How do you put the boats on the withers heads?? I've been trying to figure it out but I'm lost lol.

    Can you replace the endrods with something else? I dont have those in my survival right now.

    If the chunk loader is at the bottom of the world and the wither setup is 128 block above it, or the other way round, the portals won't connect right?

    Also I would recommend having the snowball farm be separate from the obsidian farm. It makes the obsidian farm simpler, and minimizes damage for eithe farm if the wither escapes

    Uhmmm is there other wither cages that work with this? Or at least without using boats because the smp I play on has a clear entity plugin that clears items and boats
