She is not opening doors anymore, the last one she opened was the one into cat's heaven.

It's not that she can't learn to close the door. She just doesn't care

I put bells on my doors and all my cats rang them to get in or out. It was even funnier when the cats friends came to the doors and knocked. They didn't want to come in, they just wanted Tuffy to come out & play. She had three different friends that would come & call for her.

I'm laughing at the last statement about the babysitter thinking it's a ghost at the door. I suspect many ghost stories could be attributed to the antics of a cat.

I always knew cats were super smart. I have six and they've trained me very well to be their housekeeper. They knock on doors and windows and I jump to do their bidding!

We had a family cat who had various knocks. He would come home in the middle of the night and if you didn’t open the door in a respectable time he would knock louder and louder. He once ‘disappeared’ for about five weeks and came home in the early hours waking the house with his furious knocking. The funniest thing my mother witnessed was when, after watching a neighbour’s cat meowing to get into his home, ours went over and knocked the letterbox for him.

I have a glass window right next to the door and my neighbors’ cat used to knock three times when she wanted to come in. Cats are amazing.

A new visitor was startled when the doorknob rattled on my backdoor and I asked them to let the Dog in ... they closed it sat down and it happened again. I told him the Cat wants in. He was baffled.
