Seed Starting Cool Weather Cut Flowers | My First Cut Flower Garden | Larkspur and Bells of Ireland

Published 2022-01-22
What's up guys!

Today I'll be starting Larkspur and Bells of Ireland for my cut flower garden! This will be my first year with a cut flower garden. I already had these seeds sitting in my fridge because they needed to be cold stratified before I planted them.

I made a whole video on Cold Stratification here it is

I am a little less than 10 weeks away from my last frost date which is perfect for starting these indoors now!

Hi Dom! I really like how the raised beds are all laid out...it's so neat. You're doing a great job on everything. I have 4 raised beds in my backyard and sometimes it gets overwhelming on not knowing what i want or where i want to plant "what" lol...I take my hat off to you...on all you do!👍👍

You have a lot going on, my question is how are you watering all your starts? I have 2 Hoss 162's another smaller 62 and some other smaller trays started and am using a two gallon sprayer to water every other day. Mine are on heat pads which as soon as my peppers sprout I will be able to turn off. Thanks for sharing!
  • How are your Bells of Ireland coming along? I struggle with these and haven't been able to germinate a single seed. I store them in the freezer. I've tried winter sowing and presprouting in a wet paper towel. Neither worked. I'm thinking of trying to direct sow some. I'd love to know what's working for you!
