you're so talented whoever doesn't appreciate your music probably does not understand music at all. your videos are so well done and I'm sure you're gonna get so much more success on Youtube! Lots of love and success to you!
  • @RetroPlus
Your editing and pacing is fantastic, and not only that but your music skills are on point too

I call this "foley artist writes a song" 😅 this is such a cool way to build instrument sounds

you are such an inspiration. i wasn't expecting such a deep message behind a song written with random household objects lol.
  • @AlexEscalante
The final song is great, the lyrics are profound and honest. The whole process is inspiring! Thanks for sharing and keep writing music! I can identify with the experience of being ambitious and unable to keep up with your own expectations. It's not the people who doesn't like your music: it's you! You haven't accepted your own process. Be patient and supportive with your own self and things will come through time. You are already sounding great.

Dude, we are definitely cut from the same cloth! After a nice mid-summer rain. find yourself one of those millimetre-deep sidewalk puddles, and bounce a basketball into it - in tempo. Boom! One of the greatest snare drums ever!

You’re definitely going to have a lot of subscribers on YouTube. Your videos are perfect in terms of quality and content.

no need to mention how skilled of a musician you are, but you lyrics was phenomenal. Its hard to describe in words how authentic and great the lyrics was! blown away by your talent! the word talent here sounds a bit cheap! Lets put it this way. blown away by your work!

I've been wanting to do something like this for a long time. This was awesome and I love that you used the song of storms during the vocal break.

Nice work - guessed the wineglass! Its always a tough decision about how much to just do your own thing and how much to "target" and audience. These are the best times ever to be able to focus in option one, even if it rarely pays.

Damn , how could people say they didn't like your music, you sound like all my favorite bands/artists in one person ! Keep rocking!

I love watching people coming up with wacky ideas like this and then implementing that into their musical creations. This whole thing makes me come to think about foley artists. It’s sort of like mixing a foley artist and a musical composer into one in order to create something unique. It was very interesting and entertaining to watch. Thank you and keep up the great work.

You have a lot of things really going for you. Your video planning, editing, pacing, lighting, etc. are all on point. Your ability to utilize the things around you to create is also superb. Your hard work and never say die attitude are super important and you nail it there. Your lyrics and the emotions behind them are top notch. Your note progression is also enticing and catchy. Then you have the things that are good but average. This area includes things like the repetitiveness of your music. That is the main drawback to looping. Something that can help with this is adding dynamics and playing 2nd and 3rd takes for each loop that are each different from one another. The difference can be a single note or the whole loop line. Then weave in the different options for each loop to accent parts of the song. Last we have the area that needs the most work, vocals. The notes you chose are fine but you failed to hit several of them. Some notes you are right on. Others you get close or even hit it but then fall flat immediately. Others still you start flat and end flat. The main area this seems to come into effect is on the highest note of each phrase, even if it is well within your range. The only thing I can think of without working with you is that you are anticipating the next note which is lower and your voice is following before it should. Be sure to focus on each note as its own note, neither effected but what is before it or by what is after it. Then, when each note is dialed in you can focus on phrasing. I hope this helps. I like where you are going with things and hope to hear more. P.S. if this isn’t helpful ignore it.

I don't usually write a lot of comments. But here I have to write in support of the channel. Dude you inspire people from the other side of the globe. Best wishes from Ukraine

Hey Spencer! That was truly enjoyable and engaging watching your process. But far more than that, I appreciate your message. You've clearly overcome some obstacles and remain true to your process and your art. I have struggled for a long time in 'just starting' to create music for many of the reasons and circumstances you touch on. Thanks for sharing your message and creativity. It has definitely given me some momentum to get after it! Now...off to grab the guitar! Take care.
