I don't ask this often with fan films...but can we please get a sequel!? For once I can believe the accolades in the thumbnail of a fan film. This was so special and well done. I'll never understand why it's so hard for Disney to do this kinda thing. Even Disney's better sw films don't capture the feeling of star wars as well as the fans can. Bravo! Fantastic work to all involved in making this.

How to create a strong female lead in only 20 minutes, that Disney couldn't do over 3 films. Well done.

"I'm not crying, I'm concentrating... on protecting my family." Absolute masterpiece!!!
  • @flippedkingdom
Commendations to Mikhael Bureau, as he created music that captured some of the tone, musicality and spirit of John Williams; it sounded like a real Star Wars movie. Really well done!!

It's sad to me I felt more for these characters than a lot of Disney-era projects. But when it's a story told out of passion, you can feel it. Great fan film y'all.
  • This is by far the fan film I've ever seen. It everything that the Disney movies didn't have . A strong father/mentor . A daughter going thru a hero's journey. And they have supportive mother and a younger brother . Can't wait for the sequel

I love how detailed everything was in this. When Brightstar got up with his lightsaber ignited, he dragged the tip along the leaves on the ground slightly and they smoldered. Detailing something as inadvertent as that shows a true passion for what you've made and I applaud you. The acting was a bit stiff and the dialogue a bit awkward but they always are in fan films but nowhere near as bad as some I've seen. Those skills develop over time and both the actors and storyline are far better than I expected. I cannot wait to see the next installment.

The force is strong with this film. Wonderful work from the entire cast and crew. This is truly a Brightstar in the Star Wars universe.

If Disney's movies had been this good, the fanbase would be exceptionally happy.

This is GOOOOD. I keep forgetting it's a fan film, multiple times while watching.

The thing I really like about this, is that when they are fighting, they are using all sorts of tricks to win the fight. in the regular starwars fights, they usually just use their light sabers, and just feel invincible against everything else for no good reason. This feels more grounded, because people are trying to sneak rocks to hit people and having people use lasers to distract their opponents. This type of dirty fighting feels a lot more real and fresh than the stale mainstream fights. The chaos of everything going on just adds to it.
  • Brightstar is, even while being severely sick, is a badass to the end

What this film has (that some of the Disney films lack) is love for Star Wars. We can clearly see that the creator, cast, and crew all love the Star Wars universe. Great job, everyone.

I can't believe I've just witnessed one of the best fan made Star Wars films in the history of cinema. This was sublime!
  • @majikmonkee
Wow! I usually pass on watching fan projects, but this was phenomenal. Kept my attention throughout and got me invested in the characters and story. Take notes, Disney.
  • @JohnVikingg
Its insane how you can have so much better character development in 20 minutes than Disney can have in an entire movie! Amazing film!!! Will definitely share with my friends!
  • Whenever I see the words 'fan film', I automatically picture dad's borrowed super 8 and a group of high school kids. All I can say now...Holy Crap! I'm not a Star Wars super fan..that is,I can readily watch the movies without having to know the various histories and backgrounds of every character, and the complete timelines and how everything and everybody ties together..I can just appreciate them, and I just appreciated the hell out of this.As a lover of movies, thank you.
  • This is so well made: the sound editing, scoring, writing, directing.....Darn it, this FEELS like Star Wars & Im not even part of the fandom!!
