Nightdive's remake masterfully brings most of the aspects that haven’t aged as well into the present day, with excellent new graphics and nearly all the modern gameplay conveniences you could want. Tweaking the technical workings of Citadel space station to come out on top and foil SHODAN's machinations is just as compelling as it ever was, making the original System Shock one of gaming's classics for a very good reason.

With how gaming is now, it's amazing that a remake from a smaller studio that took this long to develop came out with this level of quality.

We are living im a time where Dead Space, Resident Evil 4 and System Shock have great remakes in the SAME YEAR!

The game is absolutely fantastic! No hand holding, beautiful and yet somehow triggers those nostalgia receptors in the brain. Also the elevator music is banging!

So glad this game worked out in the end, Took 8 years and 2 production resets but we got there in the end.

It would be nice to see remasters of Thief and its sequel.

The visual style is amazing. As the reviewer said, the whole vibe gives the impression of a 30 year old game. It's like playing something in memory. We are definitely in the remake/remaster era, but with it's ingeniunity this remake feels like something unique.

Terri Brosius deserves all the credit for putting her voice for Shodan, she's a legend! She also was the voice of Viktoria in the Thief games.
