Regarding the teen who was holding a fake gun and whose parents are demanding answers, why was he walking the streets with a fake gun? That’s the question that should be asked and answered. Police were called because a caller reported teen was pointing it. Stop blaming the police for responding to what could have been another cop or civilian being shot. The reason there is so much crime is a result of this cuddle approach to bad behavior. Do stupid things and consequences will follow.

To the mother of the teen brandishing a gun aiming at the homes of people...that later turned out to be a fake. Instead of blaming the police for 'targeting' your black children'....maybe YOU should take accountability for not being a good parent. Try parenting your children if they mean so much to you. Find out what they're doing on the streets and teach them there are consequences for their actions. This shooting is a direct result of YOUR Inaction to parent your child. I'm glad he's ok and hope both of you learned something from this. You most certainly Don't deserve a free payday for it by suing...geesh 🙄

The officer did his job,he did nothing wrong,also why would this kid pull out this fake gun when he was being given commands by the officer,atleast the kid was not killed...

Police officers don't have time to debate whether or not toy guns are real let's not make this a race issue its a believable gun issue and you should know never have a weapon or perceived weapon out when cops arrive on scene.

Parents need to know what there kids are doing pointing a real life like gun at houses? Home owners where scared they called the copes. Parents need to be held accountable.

A 15 year old boy should not play games with the police with a real or fake gun. Didnt he believe the cop would shoot him? I believe the officer made a split second decision to shoot because he had a gun pointed at him. Parents demand justice. Justice was served. TEACH YOUR CHILDREN BETTER!!!!
