I have finally returned with a brand new video for you all. Today's video is themed around a rather obscure OVA from the 1990s which just so happened to be directed and created by the director of the anime classic, Outlaw Star, known as Hongou Mitsuru.

Worth the wait. Funny how so many shows use so many exposition dumps and long winded speeches in a VISUAL MEDIUM. You would think people would understand the concept of 'show, don't tell'. And good point about how you don't see a magic user explaining to another magic user how their magic works. If characters use magic the way we breathe, no need for the characters to explain it.

Fantastic video. I watched Shamanic Princess a while ago and still think about it often. I was looking for anything about the show and came across your video commentary. My favorite visual in particular appeared when Tiara transformed and her wings perfectly silhouette in the moon. As you mentioned, Shamanic princess left me in wonder. Thanks for making such a thoughtful video on it.

Recently finally got around to watching this completely, and damn were the visuals amazing and did indeed do a great job of storytelling! A shame it only had 6 OVAs and never a second season or even a movie 🤔 but sometimes short and sweet is better than dragged on and bitter 🙏
