About:
Today im going over all of the recent Yeezy Adidas developments including, release dates for the upcoming drops happening in FEB/MAR. Ye also called out Adidas claiming they are selling fake Yeezys that he did not make or approve of. This has caused a massive stir in the sneaker community & many people are left wondering whats going on.

fake as in he had no say in the color way produced, while he’s getting sued yet his no longer owned product is getting sold at the same time.
  • @ed8217
Adidas said they were going to get rid of existing stock. However, this sounds like Adidas is still making pairs. This would explain why Ye wouldn't get a cut. ..it's not part of the "existing stock".
  • Imo, Ye is selling pods + his entire vultures merch line for $20. And adidas is selling Ye's designs with unapproved colorways for full price, you can guess whos side im on lmao.
  • @HISOOOOOOOS
not allowing him to take a month break due to mental health with all the stuff hes got going on is insane...

Honestly, if adidas releases some Yeezys that I like, I will buy them. Along with "separating the art from the artist", I also like to separate the product from the company. Yeezys are imo some of the best shoes to release in the last 10 years, and I love them till this day. I totally understand Ye's side, as in this situation I side with him. However, I will not let the issue between him and the company prevent me from buying the shoes I want. In other words: They didn't do anything to me, so I'll buy what I like to wear.

Everyone backing Ye... UNTIIIL!!! the slides and foams drop.

Adidas severed their relationship with Ye because of his "comments", NOW they still produced his shoe design because apparently they can still make money out of his creation. Kinda like they want to boycott the man for what he has done, but wait not this one and this one and this one... selective based on profit i would say Adidas.😅
  • @Sspydermn
If he Adidas owns all the designs and are making new colorways that he doesn't have to approve, why would they pay him? If it's a restock it's one thing but these are new colorways. He signed that contract.

Hong Kong comment, I never successfully buy a Yeezy shoe from Adidas, not sure if it is having less shoes in Asia or Hk area. But this time I have bought 2 pairs with an acceptable price, which is nice to us 😂
  • @Ahijah
I like ye, but I need my foam and slides for retail 😊

The fact that some of the shoes were manufactured in 2023 is irrelevant. The 'Yeezy Release Talking Points' memo that you refer to in the video makes it clear that "The products are existing Yeezy designs initiated in 2022". The key word in this bullet point is "initiated".

This discussion highlight a few interesting points, and is more related of "what makes something fake?" in this case many people can say there are like "Unauthorized" products, because the face of a part of the design and cultural point is not associated any more, but at the same time the materials, technologies and lines of production and more are the "real ones". for years people have tried to check a fake shoe is for how tight the sole is, or if the stitches length or that stuff, so the discussion is more important the material product, quality, and that is "legally correct" so you can find in stores, or the non-material aspects such as who's behind it, what celebrity is using it, and the morals aspects of brands and names. I mean some people even comment are more interested now because they like the shoe but no give money to Ye, so for them thats a plus. And people really have their own priorities there so grab popcorn and cheer for the multimillionaire company or the multimillionaire artist that you want
  • He edited and removed the part about 'everybody know the 350 been corny'
  • @Nam83
For Australia it's the Grey 350 V2 with retail of $360
  • @kevinbutler1968
Well that's his side of the story. It would be good to hear what Adidas have to say before making a judgement; you will always find there are two different versions to events and I do assume he got his lawyers to go through the contracts before he signed them.

At no point did Adidas say they would be selling their remaining Yeezy inventory at cost. They were very clear in their announcement that the sales would be "at least at cost". This is to comply with generally accepted accounting principles and international financial reporting standards which require that inventory is valued at the lower of cost or net realizable value (NRV). Adidas is therefore simply stating that the NRV for it's remaining Yeezy inventory is higher than cost, and this will be reflected in the financial statements.

7:39 That's some suspicious wording. 🤔 They say the designs were 'initiated' in 2022 not produced. So what does that mean, somebody started thinking about making them in 2022
