what a full power (class 3b) IR illuminator looks like

Steiner DBAL A3. I know this is very brief but it was 3am and I was tired. It will be re-shot eventually. All local and federal laws regarding IR illuminators were followed.

Fantastic video, my friend. Thanks for posting it. I just picked up a FP Steiner Dbal A3 (Model #52303). I would have had to take it on faith that the unit performed as well as other FP units out there, but thanks to this video, I got to see first hand that the FP A3 really does do the job at long distances with ease. The laser wasn't really a concern of mine because even the civilian powered A3 has a strong enough laser to reach out to 500yrds without an issue. So, the big question was the illuminator. The civilian A3 illuminator absolutely sucks, and your video of the illuminator at different opening positions was the reason why I jumped on a FP A3 as quickly a I did. Needless to say, it's a very strong unit and in particular the IR laser is way beyond what I would ever need. Good stuff man. Keep those videos coming of the full power stuff. Us civilians are always curious to see the toys we cannot easily acquire.

What do you think it will perform under lots of light sources like the city's environment?
