I painted this with the WRONG color - Doh - Golden Morning Mist

Published 2022-08-07
So, How Did I paint this wrong the first time and nearly make the same mistake the second time around 😣 Watch me paint (and mess up ) this Bob Ross classic more than once and see if it can help you avoid the same happy accidents with your own paintings.
I used Bob Ross' original painting for inspiration and added a few of my own touches to make it uniquely mine! Now paint your own version of Golden Morning Mist.

Happy accidents are all part of the journey to improve. I still make them and I hope I all ways will. Happy Painting People 😀😀😀😀
  • @caaront
I love the way you incorporate the happy accidents into the videos at times as a great teaching tool. I love your videos.
  • Absolutely gorgeous!! It's a beautiful morning , so realistic ! Thank you Sir!
  • Beautiful haunting golden morning mist painting! Love it! Thanks for sharing! Big thumbs up !!! Like 98 !! 👍💖
  • Thank you so much for sharing this! I struggle wih loading the brushes properly and the angle and strength of how i apply them to the canvas to create foliage and such. Your tips on how to wiggle and push the brush up into the paint, showing the loaded brush, describing how it should look, and then how to angle it on the canvas, is glorious! Just like watching Bob, watching you makes me feel like i can actually paint something this beautiful and serene one day. ❤️ Thank you for that
  • @AnnieTroe
Loaded with tips! Love how well you wiggle your liner brush. 👏😍 perfection with the light blue at the end. Thanks so very much Paul! ❤️

Another beautiful and very instructional tutorial Paul. Your paintings have an ethereal effect. Thank you for sharing and please keep them coming. 😊😊🎨
  • Beautiful - I love how you have created the warm autumnal tones in this painting
  • This was awesome Paul, this is what I enjoy about paintings like this, the start makes absolutely no sense, which made it fun for anyone that watched me do mine, but near the end of each piece everyone got that "ooohhhhhh" reaction, they really didn't realise a painting emerged from the supposed "mess" at the start, and yes, happy accidents really do offer some surprising options, I've helped many students fix little mishaps, those were some fun times 😊😊

I love these weekly uploads. We need mugs with your pictures on them.
  • I so love greens but these earthy oranges are my second favs and giving me an eye massage throughout the painting process! I wish I could blur the waterfall base as easily with my acrylics as you can with your oils! I'd get a dreamier quality .... ah, something to aspire to! Fabulous painting, Paul! 🥰🥰
  • @HeemaArt
Sometimes accidents create great works.🥰 Gorgeous painting with lovely warm color compositions. Great editing, Paul. Wonderful demonstration and sharing. ❤❤❤
  • @bethanydee1920
Beautiful effects! I actually like the results you got making the tree leaves with the 1" brush better than what Bob used to do painting them with the 2" brush. I'm going to try that on my current painting. Thanks!
  • Good painting tutorial 😊 Well explained. Thank you so much Sir🙏
  • @samindorante6872
Paul, Your videos and teaching style are great! The encouragement through the process is greatly appreciated. I do have one request. Is it possible to post a picture of the finished painting? This is a big help for me, and possibly others, during the painting process. It also helps with scaling the painting to the canvas one is using if a picture of the painting is handy for reference. It is also a big inspirational help. Thanks for your hard work!
