Hey! My name is Natalie and I love sharing about my life as a mom and homemaker/homesteader. Around here we embrace the coziness in the chaos and the magic in the mundane. I believe simple joys and a home filled with love (not STUFF) are more important than "keeping up with the Joneses." I'm glad you stopped by! I hope you find some encouragement and gentle motivation and a cozy corner of the internet that's full of peace.

Not buying all the crap you need to immediately start up your new hobby is GOLD. Idk if you are the one that said it or someone else, but Iā€™ve used it for a while now. It definitely saved me when I ā€œstartedā€ my sourdough starter journey. Turns out I am not interested enough nor do I even like bread enough nor do I even like the taste lol I almost bought the razors to score bread and everything. But I stopped myself and forced myself to at least make a few loaves first. Dodged a hobby clutter bullet!šŸ˜…

Why you are still decluttering? Because you are alive and you still consume and enjoy life. I have been a minimalist for over ten years, I have curated an environment that work for me. Decluttering is maintenance I do it daily , let go of what does not work for you. Thank you for your awesome work šŸ™ā¤šŸ™
  • ā€œColoring is a verbā€. Lightbulb moment!! This can be applied to so many things I am keeping around my house! Thank you!
  • Great video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I canā€™t stop thinking about her, Iā€™ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, Iā€™m frustrated, I donā€™t see my life with anyone else. Iā€™ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I canā€™t, I donā€™t know why Iā€™m saying this here, I really miss her and just canā€™t stop thinking about her
  • In the words of Elsa, LET IT GO! ā¤šŸŽ‰šŸ˜… thank you Natalie for your encouragement to Let Go as we transition into different seasons of life!
  • I just want to say, I hope you read this comment. I am so glad to listen to your video in the background today, because you are such a safe and joyful presence. My father is in heaven as of a 2 weeks and these last few days have been especially difficult. But, to know I can have a kind and joyful person to hear in my ear as I do sahm life with my toddler. Thank you. Truly.ā¤
  • My mother cut our jeans at the start of spring for shorts. Then, she would patch holes in the winter time.
  • Good morning friends! Natalie, you and your videos are a blessing in a dark world!

In Australia we just put a ā€˜No Junk Mailā€™ sign on our letterbox and that saves having to deal with that
  • Thank you for another great video. I ended up decluttering a rice cooker that got shoved way back in my cupboard, as well as a steamer, they were wedding presents from almost 26 years ago. I had totally forgotten about them. I also have been working on my digital contents as well.
  • This was a great video. I really liked the way you moved about your home during the video. It was like being at a friends home and just spending time discussing life. Keep up the wonderful videos.

Thank you for this video! I think itā€™s my new favorite one, so many wonderful encouragements and advice!
  • I got up midway in the video and decluttered and organized my sonā€™s art and crafts drawer. It feels so light now. Thank you so much Natalie for the motivation ā¤

The last one is totally true for me. When I moved out of my parents house and started living alone w my then bf/now husband, I kept hearing my dad's voice in the back of my head how everything I did wasn't smart or good enough so I had to remember what he did around the house becuz any rule I made up for me would never be good enough. But once I realized that I could make my own rules and that it's OK to make decisions for myself, it was such a wild wild trip to shift my mindset to that becuz of how brainwashed I was to thinking anything I did wasn't good enough. I'm glad I got out of it and am able to make decisions for me and my husband on certain things šŸ˜Š
  • Stuff comes in and more stuff needs to go out. That is an edited life. Love it.
  • Yes, you know, decluttering is kind of a lifestyle. I am single with two cats, and we declutter on the regular. Sometimes it is only one item, or a few, but I like to keep my space clean and tidy. Cheers.
  • @lylagray9669
I love #5. As I am decluttering, I have actually been finding perfectly good items that I know family will want and I make those their Christmas or Birthday presents. The money is already spent, so why not?!
  • @megancox9549
Thanks for this video. I just got married so by combining households with my husband has been so difficult, but hard to get rid of all our duplicate itemsā€¦this is exactly the reminder I need.
