Beautifull pike fishing video. Breathes your mission of not only catching predatory fish but also enjoy the fishing experience/day! Greetings from the other side of the channel: the Netherlands.
  • I just caught my first Pike ever today! It was a neat experience. Great video! That Perch was a real beauty too!
  • To grow that big with all of those chubby pikes about, that perch must be tough as nails!

  • okay i have a story im 11 years olld and just today i went fishing on my own and a didn't catch anything but there was a yellow perch biting at my artificial bait and then i cast out and my line breaks so i put on a hook and keep fishing then i thought to my self i didn't catch anything yet and when my mom and sister came to get me i grabbed my fishing rod but i saw the broken line and so i reeled it in because my fishing hook was still on there and sure enough i felt tugging on the line and i kept on pulling it in and there was a 2 pound yellow perch there and my mom and my sister watched the hole thing

Hi Matt, Excellent Vid, in your honest opinion what weight do you Recon  the pike could reach at Eyebrook considering the sheer size of the water etc ?

I've been fishing for 20 years. Caught countless bass, bluegill, catfish, perch, etc. Never once have I caught a pike, and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Okay so I get that pike stay deep in cold water.   What I want to know is A).  Do they stay near drop offs or do they just go to the deepest part of the lake and chill there.  and C.)  What happens during the late evening?  Do they come close to shore or more towards the surface? Or are they just always always in the cool bottom part of the lake. Advice is needed ASAP since it's so late into the summer. Please help!!!!!!

I believe the "warm water no bites" is just a myth. I have a cabin near a big freshwater lake in Norway, and last summer it was record temperatures in and above water. I thought we'd struggle getting anything but it was the complete opposite. Both trout and perch bit like never before!

i spent 6 hours today trying to catch my first pike... 4 in the morning 2 at night sundown. threw everything in my tackle box... my favorite fire tiger spinners... nothing. I see a big pike smack the top 20 ft away. still cant catch fuck all... that elusive first pike.
