Now this is going to sound crazy but this song got me into Law School. I quoted 'If I told you that a flower bloomed in a dark room would you trust it?' at the start of my personal statement and they were so impressed for some reason and gave me a place at a world class law school. When I grow old this song will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Y'all got good taste in music
-
Kills me we'll never witness this combo again
-
Who here after the diss
-
It's crazy how some songs can take you back, and make you remember everything that was happening around that time the song came out .
-
This song came out when I was 10 and being 18 now I feel like I finally understand what he was referencing too when he said, “If I told you that a flower bloomed in a dark room, would you trust it?” Flowers grow with both sun and rain for nourishment but us humans we don’t just grow in happy moments we grow through facing hard times and in dark moments if that makes sense. Just thought I’d share probably hella late but wowz😂

11 years later still hits hard

I can’t believe I never put 2-and-2 together after all these years to realize that voice in the background is Janet Jacksons. Added by the fact that she also was in the movie called “Poetic Justice” with 2Pac
-
I’ll never forget how good my life was when this song came out
