DAVID MITCHELL: "To predict the lottery you say what the lottery numbers are going to be before the lottery numbers (are drawn), not just after. What appeared on television was the lottery numbers and then after that his 'prediction' of the lottery numbers. Now the cleverest thing about that trick is the fact he's encouraged people to describe it as 'predicting the lottery' rather than saying the lottery numbers just after the lottery numbers..."

I might actually be impressed if he wasn't the one doing the math on the final calculations of the group's average. He could have made the answers anything he wanted to, and that's why this "trick" worked.

I managed to get 4 out of 6 lottery numbers right once back in June this year, after several weeks of thinking of a set numbers in my head and trying not to think of the other numbers being drawn, I got there in the end and won £74.

Of course it's a trick, it's what Derren does does for a living.. and he's good at it .. this wasn't his best, but it was awesome on the night.
