Thank you Maestro Maurizio Pollini, for being a driving force behind my musical life for the past 40 years. You will be missed.

Came here after hearing the sad news about the elder Pollini. A truly great pianist. His recording of Mozart’s 23rd concerto is one of my favourites. RIP

Not so long ago, I expressed my admiration for the Master for his wonderful, masterful playing, mature, full of life, enthusiasm and brilliance. A great virtuoso interpretation. I eagerly came back here to admire the Master, his wonderful playing, which provided us with so many emotional experiences, emotions, elation, inner strength and a sense of great beauty. Unimaginable sadness and grief overwhelmed me when I learned that he was no longer with us. It brings tears to my eyes and those who adored him. Disbelief... We have lost one of the greatest pianists in the world. His wonderful concerts remain... How difficult it will be to listen to them now, knowing that He is no longer there :( . His great talent will remain in the hearts of all of us. Rest in peace and keep playing for the Angels and those who have passed away...❤🕯🙏🎼🎹🙏🕯. ..I express my sincere condolences to his Family and loved ones .... Piotr Poland
  • My favorite piano concerto. I’ve heard it a hundred times, but Maestro Pollini brings a subtle difference that sets him apart from all others. I imagine this is the way Beethoven would have wanted it played. It brings tears..

I never tire of hearing this recording of Beethoven's marvelous concerto. The father's performance is past excellent and the son's direction is poetry in motion.

First time I listened to the melodiousness created from the piano of the master, there was no way without feeling strongly impressed, and then have been attracted by him. Today, I didn't want to believe the news informing us of his death, but would like to express my sincerest condolences and can't help appreciating his accomplishment (what he showed to us through music) very much, to the piano maestro.

One of the greatest master pieces; heard it millions times and I never got bored.
  • Who isn’t moved by this hauntingly beautiful music by Beethoven? Splendid performance by the orchestra, the conductor and Maestro Pollini. ❤️

A magnificent pianist. A gifted conductor. A wonderful orchestra. And an appreciative audience. What a wonderful night it was. This is my favorite performance of the 5th piano concerto.
  • During social distancing due to the corona virus situation (22.3.2020) it's giving some relax with Beethovens music. How beautiful his music is.

I am mesmerized by this rendition of my favorite concerto played with such brilliance by this outstanding orchestra and Father and Son combination. Just what we all need during these distressing times. BRAVO !
  • Rest well, Maestro and Piano legend, till we meet again at the Pearly gates of the Almighty. Amen ❤🙏🏿

  • If my calculations are correct Maurizio is 73 in this performance! That is wonderful to see. May his hands and mind stay fit and well for many years to come! May God bless you with good health.
