"I'm not just gonna sit behind like a Grandma!" - Super Max Verstappen
  • Change my mind but Brazil 2016 is by far his greatest race and put his name on the grid as one of the best
  • I think he's one of the most complete drivers I have seen in the 40 years I've been following F1. He has the raw talent of Jim Clark, the speed of Gilles Villeneuve, the analytical mind of Niki Lauda, the finesse of Alain Prost, the aggressiveness of Ayrton Senna, the determination of Michael Schumacher and the scary consistency of Lewis Hamilton.

Max has the "elbows out" overtaking style Senna had and he's always putting undercuts strategies to work as Schumacher used to. What a combo.

What he already reached in his young age is just incredible
  • Michael Schumacher is the reason I started watching F1. Max Verstappen is the reason I started watching F1 again.
  • Man, Vettel and Verstappen clearly the Golden Boys of Red Bull. Both were absolute beasts during their time there.

Brazil 2016 is just nothing short of Senna-level magic. F1 legend Nikki Lauda, then working for the Mercedes team, literally took his hat off to Max's father Jos after the race.
  • After his first win in Spain in 2016 his career really picked up the pace and so did max. 2016 Brazil was amazing as well and let’s not forget the overtake on the outside of 2016 world champion nico rosberg who beat Lewis Hamilton in equal machinery.

This sport needed someone like Max so badly.

As a Brazilian myself I've never dared to compare anyone to Senna...until I saw Max at Interlagos in 2016.

"Racing, that's how it's called! Otherwise it's better to stay at home" - A non-peak Max after 2019 Austrian GP🔥
  • He's "only" 25 years old and he has already won 32 races, 2 drivers' championships. I can't even imagine how many records he will break during his career...
  • Max is brilliant and he just turned 25, You can’t deny him off being one of the greatest ever! Instead of arguing who is better appreciate the show he puts on 👍
  • I wrote this same comment several years ago about Max. Forget about all the controversy, the scandals and what else they have. We are witnessing a once in a life time driver here. Appreciation is a must, even though you don't support him or like him for that matter. Denying his abilities is just stupidity.
  • As a max fan, his f1 journey from 2016-19 in a car not on the pace of Ferrari and Merc and still getting wins and podiums with some wonderful drives and his raw pace …and to get two wins in 2020 against the best car ever W11 always stands out for me. In 2021 to go toe to toe against one of the greatest driver Lewis and he literally didn’t make any mistake in the whole season considering Ham bottling it in IMOLA ,Baku & Monaco speaks volumes of the talent he is…
  • @GrannyBX
His time at Toro Rosso was really fun to watch.

This kid right here was special since his first race. He will be remembered as one of the greatest alongside Lewis and Michael in the future
  • @TheJamesEarly
I remember watching that 2016 Brazilian Grand Prix live and being in absolute awe of Verstappen
  • I am sure Senna is smiling when he looks down and sees Max doing another amazing overtake. And his best is yet to come.
