I'm here from Odin Project learning how to set up Linux as a lifelong Windows user. I had absolutely no idea Virtual Machines were a thing! My husband and I are both incredibly into gaming, and have been disappointed to be unable to run a lot of older computer games. I really like that you mentioned older OS programs being able to be run through a Virtual Machine; I'll have to play around with it and see if we can get back into the 8-bit games we loved growing up! Thank you so much~

Excellent video. Nothing on a Virtual Machine can actually harm any part of the original version. When something happens to your VM, you simply destroy it and create a new one. No BIOS problems with the original, this is where the concept of replication or virtual comes into play.

Software is a set of complex instructions running on hardware. Software can accept commands from external applications (ex: pressing the keyboard, saving files, create folders etc.) A Virtual Machine is a software which accepts instructions from other softwares as if they were commands.
