There have been six confirmed tornadoes and 24 tornado warnings in North Carolina since midnight. A 60-year-old man was killed when a tornado passed over his home early Thursday morning in Wilson County.

Tornado watches remain in effect for central and eastern North Carolina, and flood warnings are also in effect across the state. More tornado warnings will be likely into Thursday night.
