Breaking news: Man sits on subway sign for two hours, is so focused on his phone that he doesn't know his neck is on fire.

Synthwave is a genre that speaks to me of the struggles humans face in the modern world. Depicting a cyberpunk-like world from the lense of someone who lives in the 21st Century probably isn't as far away from reality as most people might expect. The technological limitations we have for space travel, and having an infrastructure that isn't quite ready to accept and commit to the resources of our galaxy, is akin to the tempting fruit that hangs from the tree in the Garden of Eden. Humans really are amazing animals although we are not unique, no matter the time period.

It's hard to believe a song I made (Akrasia 1:48:46 ) is on this channel ☺. Over 9 years ago (Sept 2012) I found this channel and added the first of many songs to my favorites and since then I've been following the channel been grateful for finding music I wouldn't have otherwise discovered. I never would have believed that someday, some music that I made would be here. Thank you so much for including my music alongside so many great artists on such a prestigious channel. I am really grateful. The artwork and mix are really great - really nice job Kryssalian for the Graphics and Rogue VHS for the mix and thank you so much Sheepy and everyone involved for supporting such music. I deeply love synthwave because it conveys a feeling of loneliness in a futuristic, artificial world where we are constantly searching for ourselves. And I feel that way about modernity. Make this musical genre last in time, because it allows me to find myself.

God bless synthwave and lofi. I play this in the background of my English classes and my students love it. It's good to be a millennial, we're the bridge between the proto-Internet era and Gen Z, always keeping up with it all, being part of its inception, as well as its more recent and forthcoming fruits (like this amazing music genre)

While listening to this playlist, I imagine myself in a car, driving through the city at high speeds. There’s a cigarette smoke and sleepless night ahead. Completely alone, having no one left, and yet dreaming about some kind of bonds which will hurt us two. Probably, this person is reserved and a bit risky. We’ve met on the road during the street racing. She/he doesn’t look like one who’s into relations, but certainly he/she is empathetic, and we don’t need more. Only both of us in cypher-punk world with neon lights and dangerous dead-ends
