I'm the Skateboard Dad. Thanks for watching.

Nike SB Dunks are one of the hardest shoes to get, let alone skate. I think they are good skate shoes, but there are a lot of other good options out there that cost way less. Are Nike SB Dunks good for skating?

Thanks for checking out my video! I'm still a new channel, and I upload new videos every week!

Skate your dunks. Or don't. Do whatever you want with your things. Nike SB Just came out with a new video, Nike SB Constant. It's great. Check it out. Nike SB has more to offer skateboarding than just dunks. Nike SB Constant Video. Go watch.

i don’t understand why nike can’t just release blank dunks that are always in stock for skating specifically so you can always get them for retail.

As long as you’re wearing the shoes and not just watching them sit on a shelf their whole life ain’t nothing wrong with em
  • I honestly think that if skaters would start exclusively skating replica dunks and created a hashtag about it, that we could at least see a few color ways mass produced again so people could experience skating them again.

Dont view the shoes as a dollar sign and view them as a shoe. Skate em cause they skate great and dont feel bad about it, sell if you want if youre into that its a skate shoe, collectors shoe, resell shoe, at the end of the day ITS A SHOE. But dont feel bad skating them, theres plenty of ways to make money and dunks are sick asf

As a skater, I can’t not resist the temptation of wearing the dunks.

Loved the video. Oh man I remember when we could order dunks/sbs from ccs.. back when I was a little punk I refused to buy anything online and my local shops wouldn’t carry Nike/sbs so I was able to find them occasionally at thrift spots and Ross lol!

If I’m able to buy the newer big colab dunks, I opt to keep my retail personal pair as a “going out shoe” and buy a fake pair to skate in.
  • I will not regret skating my dunks, when is skate them and fuck them up i kind of leave a memory to remember for the rest of my life, like i will look at the shoes and remember alot of what i did while use them ✌🏽

Do you skate your dunks or do you keep them in the box?
  • When you feel good, you skate good Skate the dunks. I legitimately think skating dunks will make you better at skateboarding.
  • Nice Video Bro! I can agree with nearly everything you say. For me as a skateboard veteran (on the board for 25 years) and who skates dunks since 2005 it is hard to stand the actual situation. Years ago you could get SB dunks for 50-60 euros at the nike factory outlet without any problem. Nowadays its so hard to get some SB dunks (also unopular colourways) for retail. I was lucky to get 3-4 models in two years for retail. For the rest i had to pay the resell prices. The price range was between 130-200 euros (depending on which model). Thats insane for destroying a shoe while skateboarding! So i decided to have a look on used ones and found some gems (highs and mids) fore reasonable prices (70-100 euros). What i can see is that the hype is drying out a bit here in Austria/Germany. Nearly every release this year is not that high in resell anymore. Also skateshops get back unpopular models and sell them without any raffle. There is light on the horizon. (; The last weeks i was really lucky to get the laser orange (lakers) dunk low SB in used contition (3-4 times worn) for 150 euros all in. On StockX they are listed for over 300 euros. I have looked for them for nearly 2 years and i am so happy to finally get them from a nice seller. (; I think the market will be overheated soon because so many greedy hypebeasts are popping up to get the most money out of the same model at the same time! Thats good for us skateboarders that the prices will decrease.
  • dude you honestly deserve so much more exposure than you currently get
  • I would recommend eS shoes. Definitely my favorite but I am branching out to Etines and DC at the moment.

Great video, but I´ve to say a few things. The issue with Nike Sb is that the accumulators or their official collectors name are upset because the people who buy these shoes are skating them, so since many of them live from the re-sale of these, it doesn´t suit them, their business is damaged, So also the possers have raised their voices because they have the money to buy Nike Sb, but only to wear skateboarding things because they think they will look "cool" the truth is that everyone can do whatever they want with their shoes, skate them or keep them or sell them Likewise, Nike will continue to make millions of dollars, which is what they are interested in.

I spilled coffee on my mcflys. And now I’m sitting here debating on skating them HAHA. Started in 06 too. My thing is I actually enjoyed skating in dunks. I hate how the price stops me from enjoying comfort and really nice feeling heelflip.
  • If I pick a pair of GR up at retail,I skate em. If I pay resell, that means they're going in the collection. I'll still wear em as everday kicks though.
  • Sb’s when wear but not skate the part that wears out first is the inner heel then the grip goes. I usually move on to next pair when the heel rips.

I got lucky on two pairs at my local skateshop (one was today :D) i skated both right after i left the shop for one session each and i'll leave it at that. They are really fun to skate but i rather keep them in my collection and wear them casually instead of destroying them.
