A lot has changed and been updated since my last flight simulation cockpit overview. In this video, I’ll go through all the recent upgrades and some of the mistakes I’ve made along the way. As well as some tips for building your own at the end of the video.

If you have any questions about my DCS or Microsoft Flight Simulator setup, leave it in the comments section. Also, if you have any recommendations for upgrades or are looking at it think this is just wrong. Call me out! I’m all ears and I love learning and improving.

  • People who say "buy a plane instead" don't realise how expensive is to purchase and use a GA plane. What he spent to have this is nowhere near what you need for an airplane. Awesome setup, I save the video for reference for my rig.

I'm probably feeling the most jealousy I ever could feel.

0:07 LOL same here, everytime she goes "why do you need another accessory for your pc or another surfboard?" I go "why do you need another pair of shoes?... exactly!" 🤣🤣

This is absolutely insane! I love it. I like how those boards helped define the space even more.

That’s a pretty sweet set up! 4-5 external speakers for full surround sound would be epic. You’ve given me some good ideas for my rig as well.

I love that I can connect MFS to my Vr headset. You lose the tactile feel of the controls but gain so much.

My man! I just found you and this is GLORIOUS! If I were on a passenger airliner and the pilot keeled over, I would want you at the controls, and I'd be not at all nervous about it. Fantastic channel. I subscribed immediately. All good wishes.
  • Very clean setup! Super! Good recommendations about HDMI cables as well as USB! I was there, and YES! It's a pain!

I have the Thrustmeter TPR pedals, and if they're within your budget, wouldn't recommend anything else! The pivot point is at the top, so they more closely mimic the operation of most real-world aircraft, and they just plain feel better than the sliding pedals or pantograph style pedals. Beyond that, the spring tension is easily adjustable as is the brake pedal angle. There's also a mod available which adds hydraulic damping if you're so inclined. The downside? 1) Obviously the price. 2) I use the TPR on a carpeted floor and found that they slide around all over the place. I totally solved it though by attaching a couple of carpet spikes to the bottom of the mounting plate and now they don't slide anywhere! If you want to move or reposition them, you literally have to pick them up and then put them back down in the new location! 3) If you have a nice hardwood floor, you're on your own I guess... 🙂

I've been using the Thrustmaster TPR pedals for a few weeks now. They are worth every penny.

Nice rig! I, too, have the Brunner yoke and would not fly without it. Best ever flight sim yoke. I also have the Brunner Peddles and strongly recommend them for your rig. There’s nothing like feeling the wheels of your plane on take offs and landings. Ground handling is second to none.

Great setup. Also kind of interesting how the HOTAS part of it is the weakest link: the Warthog joystick base is by now highly surpassed by so many alternatives, it really is kind of in the same league as your rudder pedals by this point. Those are the weak links. But if you really like the feel of the Warthog grip in your hands, just plonk it onto a Virpil base, or VKB with an adapter, or RealSim if you want to specialise it for DCS.
  • And here I am, stoked I just upgraded my Logitech X56 to a VKB setup... this is a whole different level... thanks for the details!!!
  • @chipmunk449
MFG Rudder pedals!!!. wholeheartedly recommend them. the adjustability, the quality and ruggedness are of the best on the market.
  • @JonShats
Looks epic! You could mount some air tubes with twist nozzles above for room cooling. Maybe add a call button light for beverage service on those 4+ hour flights! I use the VKB T-Rudder MKIV pedals and love them. All steel construction so they're super robust and don't slide around. They're the best piece of hardware in my rig. Half the price of the TPR pedals, only downside is you can't do toe braking.
  • @dimasrahadian
finally, a just worked simulator which don't break life time savings. Thank you sir!
  • @Tom-qf3mq
Landing the plane in that storm looked so bloody amazing.
