  • i also think that the reason why second hand shopping has increased so much is because people have started seeing thrifting itself as a trend- sure, it helps to reuse old clothing, but its the mindset that needs to be shifted too. buying second hand and reselling/ throwing them away without using is such a big issue too

Great video, I learned a lot! I used to work in search engine marketing automation, and wanted to mention that paying Google for your product to appear when someone searches for a competitor product is common practice. Most major respectable companies are doing it. The reason Doc Martens have a case against Temu is that Temu is selling a counterfeit product and claiming that itā€™s the real product. I hope they win the lawsuit.

As someone who is guilty of weekly Zara and H&M online orders of clothing that I would wear a couple of time or it would sit in my closet unworn with tags, I purged and donated bags of clothing and stopped . I had to stop, it is cheap clothing that pills or snags and I realized what I was doing was irresponsible. wasteful and selfish.

God bless the people working to keep poisonous chemicals out of the clothes we wear.
  • @snowcurly
Thank you for highlighting these! We need to hold them accountable, not just happy they set goals.
  • @maryjones5710
We should be using hemp and bamboo more, as alternatives to cotton, even Linen.
  • @theklaw.8821
thank you for your videos !! i work/study in fashion and your videos and research are my little news recap of whats going on in the industry ! thank you for the work and effort you put into this channel !

Stop buying clothes new altogether. There is probably enough clothing in the second hand market to clothe all of us for the next ten years.
  • @annsuo3398
I hope that more people would wear their garments until they're not wearable anymore. If you who are reading this are trying to make this shift in your life I wish a ton of perseverance, luck and joy to you šŸŒ»
  • Even with AI it doesnā€™t eliminate human error. Many sellers donā€™t tag their listings at all. Additionally many sellers donā€™t properly list the brand or have accurate descriptions. The idea is interesting but until sellers are willing to put the time and effort into properly identifying their products this wonā€™t have much effect.

Just wanted to say that I think this is a great recurring video format that can help make people more aware of whatā€™s going on and how they might be able to help make a difference! Itā€™s like youā€™re a news anchor on your own news station specializing in fashion!šŸ˜šŸ‘Œ Title idea for you!!ā€” ā€œTLDR of Current Events in Sustainable Fashion, Textiles, & Garment Industryā€ (No hard feelings if you donā€™t like it! šŸ˜Š)
  • @sunchildmomo
About Zara relying on third parties: Many BCORP brands in other industries also rely on third parties for certification. There is a possibility that they are simply not in the sourcing business, and rather into clothes manufacturing.
  • @AbbieRee
