i’m on my second playthrough and even though other characters fall in love with mine much faster than Astarion, I still chose him. earning his trust and affection feels more rewarding 🥺 and Neil Newbon’s voice acting is out of this world.

the way he says "fall for it" is brilliant. He's embarrassed to admit all this. To admit defeat. Incredible performance by Neil.

This scene is simply outstanding. Just think: it's the first scene since meeting him where he genuinely lets all his guard down & takes the risk of being honest & vulnerable. All his carefully maintained, flirtatious, suave persona is gone. Just his pure emotions, shame, confusion, fear, insecurity. For YOUR sake. For the sake of being caring, true and simply honest with Tav, because that's how much he already fell for you, how much he values you and how those pure feelings pushed him to go past his trauma (which up to this point, kept him in defense mode of "as long as i can seduce and manipulate them into not turning their back on me, i'm safe") and just... open up. It's simply... Beautiful. That's all.

I love this scene so much, for 200 years he's been abused and couldn't find love under his abuser. When he met the group, he was able to find acceptance and love, especially from Tav. I just want to wrap him in a blanket and kill his abuser repeatedly.

Astarion : the only romance in which the closer you get, the less sexual you are. Shows that intimacy is much more than sex.

I know practically nothing about this game, but a cosplayer I follow on IG posted some clips and I was entranced. I've watched a few videos and now I am so in love with Astarion. This is one of the greatest confessions of love I have EVER heard. Wow. What incredible writing and emotional voice acting!

I didnt realise you get a slightly altered confession from him if you speak to a certain npc. I've only had that version, nice to see what this one is like.

can i just say i love that your tav looks like an actual person. so many tavs i see have the final fantasy character look which is totally fine if that’s your preference, but your tav is just very charmingly realistic to me

Its something little, but i love how spawn astarion's face softens and looks lighter. Whereas the shadowing on ascended astarion's face darkens and because more prominent.

I loved this scene so much. And I can't wait for it to come a second time
