  • I installed motion sensored sprinklers in my garden. Whenever a critter gets near my garden, it sets off the sprinklers & scares them off. The only drawback is I have to remember to turn the water off to the sprinklers when I go out to my garden, lol, I got soaked a few times. They really work & are safe.

Oh to be young again and able to work in a garden... such joy ❣
  • @ginacrusco234
When you said "tea garden" I was imagining a wrought iron table and chairs, and ladies with parasols sipping tea and eating scones. But no! You mean growing your own tea! How great.
  • @maryanich3828
Build an 8' deer fence. You'll be glad you did. Nothing worse than coming to check your garden and every bloom is gone. Great job on it!
  • @barbarapark2267
Tea roses by your tea plants…perfect. You’ll have the makings of a beautiful tea party, Mary. With cucumber sandwiches!
  • Lambs Ear is what my husband planted around our garden and it is working to keep deer, rabbits and other critters from munching on his plants. I had bought the lambs ear to plant in my flower bed because I think it is pretty and it spreads. He needed something for his garden because the deer or rabbit had taken the tops out of some of his plants so I told him he should try some of my lambs ear . He planted it around the garden and so far it is working.Plants are looking great and we have squash and cucumbers already.Love your channel and you are the sweetest lady on YouTube and believe me I have watched a lot of them. Just keep being you and we will keep watching.

I paused the video to leave this comment. When one is living in deer country a high fence around the garden is needed otherwise we can't blame the wildlife for eating the food, they don't know any better. With your amazing and abundant God given skills Mary I have no doubt you could whip one up in a jiffy if you wanted to. It may change the visual aesthetic of a garden, but for myself I would rather know I haven't harmed animals in anyway just to keep them out. When in deer country we share the land with the animals, it is their land as well.

Mint is VERY invasive and will spread all over the place ... best to put in pots 😊
  • @cathymccall9846
Beautiful. So much reward from gardening this way. Deer won't relent. You will be devastated and sad. Fence them out now! Be blessed.
  • @Firinne2023
I prayed for God to bless your garden and your ground. 💖 It was such a joy to watch, I live in the city with no land and miss gardening when I was at home, I couldn’t do it now if I had land but this was so wonderful and relaxing to watch with the nice music. I hope you have much happiness and produce to enjoy!

Mary, you amaze me. You work so hard…..in a skirt and flip flops! Love your channel, I always choose it first. This messy old lady admires you.👍
  • Oh my goodness, I have just discovered your channel and quickly subscribed. I wish I had your energy and creativity. I am a 76 year old grandmother from the Texas Gulf Coast near Houston. I’ve had many health problems over the last year so cannot do what all I would like to do.. But I have discovered I can do container gardening on my deck which I am enjoying but when I see what you do I’m so inspired and entertained. Thank you and I’ll look forward to enjoying your channel. Love in Christ.
  • The new garden is just beautiful!!! My tip is to dig up all the mint plants and put them in pots. They will take over your whole garden. Also, if you have deer, you should probably add a tall fence. It’s so discouraging to come out and find your blooms have been annihilated. I think back to the Flower Massacre of 2019, when I learned the hard way about being diligent with spraying deer repellent.
  • @deewaipio
Unless there is a fence, your hard work will always be eaten. See you soon!
  • @Carolann_237
What a beautiful garden. An 8' foot fence to keep all the deer out!
  • My husband shaves his head. On a lark, I tried the "sage advice" from the movie, "The Rookie" and spread his hair all around my garden. It seems to work. And, "neem oil" to repel bugs.
  • @barbarafenn1725
Beautiful garden! One think I love about planting herbs is the deer won’t eat them 😁
  • @nmiller6784
As usual Mary isn't afraid of tackling a big project. 🤩 Tips for Roses Keep Neem oil handy for Mites. Add old compost every other year to feed them. Go barefoot in the garden for grounding benefits. Paint your toes nails dark to hide the dirt 😁😅

Aloe, rose petals, mint tea scented soaps right from your own garden. How nice. A fence is a must to keep out the critters.
