I miss the early 2000's: Gladiator, LotR trilogy, Troy, Kingdom of Heaven. I love massive ancient/medieval battles. Braveheart started it.

As a Christian, I love how this movie portrays Salahuddin as a cunning and benevolent leader. Who shows he cares for the well being of his men even though he is confronted with war. He did all those soldiers a favor. He drew back to allow them and himself to come home to their families. ✝️🤝☪️

Two badass historic figures, their grand armies behind them, each representing their belief, and decide to just keep the peace & respect. That’s powerful.

Both Baldwin and Saladin were good men. I like the way each are portrayed here, and the show of mutual respect reminds me of Proverbs 16:7, "When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him."
