It's been done in Red/Blue, and Platinum, but how about the game with 16 Gyms, and one of the most difficult battles on Pokemon history? Is it even going to be possible?

The Bruno's story arc on this channel is legit stuff! After a difficult journey to become a member of Elite 4 he is humiliated time and time again, defeated by the same trainer who keeps bringing teams of a single unevolved pokemon and just pressing 'A' button to win. Having experienced a mental breakdown, he swears revenge. Jrose wants to defeat Elite 4 without taking any damage? Bruno looks at his Hitmonchan... and teaches him Mach Punch. "Under no circumstances are you allowed to use other moves, understand?" Hitmonchan nods as if he understood the words of his master completely.

I feel like Jrose has already done all of these challenges many times on his own, and is now just realizing he should make videos of them

When you said Bruno was a run-ender, at first I thought you were joking
  • @MishKoz
Watching this run after seeing so many runs of Red/Blue, it's almost weird seeing things like critical hits actually working as intended.

The madman has gone from removing the mechanic of catching other pokémon and diversifying his team to removing the game mechanic of taking damage whatsoever

The new Bruno, Koga. Incoming Video: "Can you beat Pokemon Gold/Silver as Koga?"

From a thematic standpoint, I actually kinda love that Clair doesn't have fully-evolved dragons yet. She fancies herself a dragon master, but the fact that her Dragonair hasn't evolved yet reveals her arrogance, and that she has much to learn before she's able to get on the level of her rival/idol Lance, the TRUE Dragon-type master. You're meant to contrast the two.

"there is no cute story here" proceeds to tell cute story about how little kid him loved how strong an nfe pokemon was and decided to make it his mascot.

Jrose a few weeks ago: "I don't plan on ever doing a no damage run, that's just not for me." Today: This video.

JRose: stretching extremely far to get in a Rival Fival mention Me: Clapping and cheering loudly

23:26 Jrose: "Koga, the worst gym leader in Red/Blue-" Blaine: "Am I not enough of a joke to you?"
  • I like how by doing so many Gen 1 runs this legend refers to Special attack and Special defense as "Special" :)

The one thing i always thought was odd about the second gen was giving the zubat line a freindship evolution. Given how its one of a few pokemon that can have supersonic, confuse ray, and bite at the same time its a fairly bold idea to think it would ever be loved by anyone.
  • “It’s just empty and feels like a waste of space.” Me too victory road, me too.
  • Jrose11: calls koga new bruno Old bruno: I'm about to end this man's whole run

To be honest, I’m having a really rough night with restless thoughts and regretting past choices. This upload brought a smile to my face, and it’s gonna make a bad night a little bit more bearable. Thank you :)
  • Is it weird that I like the fact that half of the gym leaders in jhoto aren't conventional gym leaders. Like it reveals that they have a life outside of being a gym leader. Whitney cries about losing, and wants to be a gym leader for the status. Morty is studying the legendary dogs. Jasmine is taking care of an ampharos. And Claire is arrogantly following her idol. It shows character growth for secondary characters and I kinda like it.

Can we all take a minute to appreciate he did this Damageless Run ON SET MODE rather than the default Shift one? No free switches make a huge impact on these. Genius madman, yet again, hat's off to you!
