Finally, our first time watching Jaws full movie and the experience was amazing to finally hear the jaws theme song which alone is just true horror in a music form. Steven Spielberg gave us another classic with Jaws (1975) in the wonderful town of Amity Island where the most corrupted mayor gets away with anything until Chief Brody, Matt Hooper and Quint decide to hunt the shark down but things start to go bad for the crew right after Quint’s speech. Quint shark attack scene from Jaws is brutal by the way.If you enjoyed our genuine first time watching Jaws then sure to like the video and subscribe to watch more movie reactions with the camp.

Nearly 50 years later, Ben Gardner’s head popping out STILL gets people every time…
  • @justjack0715
Back in the theater in 1975, everyone jumped when that head popped out of that boat! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  • @Hey_Jamie
Steven Spielberg directed this movie when he was 26 if you wanna feel useless for a minute lol

Jaws got Steven Spielberg on the iconic directors map. Without Jaws success, he would not have made, Jurassic Park, ET, Saving Private Ryan, nor Shindlers List.
  • I love how Brody said the mother wasn't wrong saying what she did to him. It's one of my favorite parts of the movie. Even though he easily could've blamed the mayor and would've been justified to do so, he took the "Buck stops here" position. No matter how the decision to keep the beaches open was made he felt it was ultimately his responsibility to protect that boy from harm and he failed to do so.

He doesn't want coffee. He wants coffee ice cream.

The USS Indianapolis story happened. It was taking components for the atomic bomb and sank when hit by the Japanese. The survivors were stranded in the water and picked off by sharks that were brought around by all of the commotion. Terrifying.

It amazes me that there are still people out there who haven't seen this masterpiece! This is my favorite movie since childhood! Absolute classic!
  • @seansersmylie
I learned about the USS Indianapolis story in history class here in Ireland when I was 11 or 12 in the early 1990's. It surprises me that younger Americans are not taught events like this in school! You're the only nation that has used nuclear bombs in war and this was part of the timeline.

LOL! My man called ol' dude a hobo. "Let's see what the hobo got to say." LOL, I just can't stop laughing. Caught me off guard with that.

2024 is the 49th anniversary of JAWS!! I was 10 when I saw this film in 1975. It has stood the test of time. The book by Peter Benchley, is a MUST read. Spielberg knocked it out of the ballpark!!

You two are fantastic together. Love watching reactions with the two of you 🙂Jaws reportedly invented the term "summer blockbuster". We use it all the time now, this film created it (reportedly took $100 million during its run, in 1975). Quint's "Indianapolis" monologue is a legend in cinema. Not only was Robert Shaw (Quint) a phenomenal actor, he was also a writer. Now, depending on who you hear this from, the story goes he wanted to give a backstory to show why Quint hates sharks so much. So Shaw said he would write the scene. And he did. He performed it, drunk, while Spielberg filmed it. The crew and Spielberg were so mesmerized by the performance, Spielberg didn't say "cut". They only stopped filming because they heard a "clicking" sound. The camera had run out of film.🙂 And the Indianapolis story is based on true events.

I saw this movie at the NJ shore when it opened in 1975and have watched it many times since. However, it feels like I'm watching it for the first time seeing viewers experiencing the movie for the first time. The both of you did not disappoint. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

For the record $3,000 in 1974-75 is about $20,000 today in 2024; $10,000 is $63,000 today. And that's why Quint smashed the radio, he wanted the money.
  • Facts: 1) The monologue that Quint gives about the USS Indianapolis, is based on fact. The USS Indianapolis was an actual ship that was torpedoed by the Japanese and no distress signal was sent. A lot of the survivors who made it into the water were killed by sharks. 2) As a result of the shark frenzy this movie caused, a lot of sharks were hunted and killed. To this day both Steven Spielberg and Richard Dreyfus will only go ankle deep in the ocean water. They have both said worry the sharks would be out for revenge. PS.. I would highly recommend watching the making of the movie (Jaws). It’s really interesting.

“Coffee” refers to the flavor of ice cream the little boy wanted his mom to bring him (in the hospital). It was pretty popular back in the 70’s (when flavors were a little simpler than today’s seemingly infinite choices).

The head jump scar is universal! One of the BEST jump scares in cinematic history!! Loved your alls jump scare!!!
