Since I've had the pleasure of trying out a lot of different lenses available for the L-Mount, I thought it would be good fun to rank them using a tier list I made.

I've used multiple different primes, zooms and cine lenses for the L-Mount with my Lumix S5, S5II and S5IIX. I feel like I have a good grasp of what lenses I like, and what ones I don't.

I really hope this video is helpful for you guys, and hopefully it'll help to inform your next purchasing decision!

Hey guys! Thanks for watching this video, it was a fun one to make and PLEASE take my opinions with a pinch of salt. Everyone has different boxes to tick when it comes to what lenses they decided to use, so the things I prioritise may be completely different for you! Also, thanks for 20K subs! I genuinely appreciate you all for taking the time to watch these videos. It means a lot and makes all of the effort worthwhile 🎉

Great analysis and interesting point of view🙌 as always, appreciate the quality of the content!
  • @janwedek
That was fun! My main change would be adding the 70-200 f4 to god tier. Never tried the 70-300 but the 70-200 is fantastic. Sharp, beautiful rendering, super stable, no breathing, lovely bokeh… love it.

Loved the inputs. With the L mount ecosystem finally flourishing, it is nice to put things in perspective and provide a user feedback on the what is hot and not. I have a 85 mm 1.8 (along with the 20-60) and absolutely love it . I would have loved to have seen the ranking include other 3rd party lenses for L mount ecosystem - Meike lenses/TTartisans too.

my man, Josh! thank you for all that you do!
  • @literbiker
Nice video. I'm picking up an S5 and have started shopping for additional lenses to the kit lens. Love the channel!

This is an awesome video man. I keep revisiting it. So comprehensive, yet so concise. Bursting full of info and experience
  • @James91
Absolutely enjoyed this video! I heard Samyang's 35-150 is coming to l-mount. Will you be doing a review on that one when it comes out?
  • @EdProsser
Amazing video and good to see a longer runtime!! I'm proud to only own "God Tear" lenses

I've only got the 20-60mm & 70-300mm and I literally love both of them. The 20-60 is just a really useful focal range for a kit lens and that 70-300 is just too good! I never want to take the lens off!!
  • @daliamosesp
Also own the 70-300. I replaced the 24-105 after I found 90% of my shots were over 70mm and often cropping in 2X at 105mm. I am very happy with that decision - it's a great lens and my copy seems sharper than my 24-105 did. Also I still own the 20-60 if I ever need anything wider.

I love the S line from LUMIX, I’m always looking for lens and things to film with that camera, I feel that I’m going to grow in this camera for the next couple of years. Thanks for your advice Josh!
  • This is the video I needed in my life rn.
  • @MarioBenites
Invaluable video! Thank you! I am new in Panasonic. I just bought SE S5 mark ii with Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 and I am very pleased. I am about to buy another lens and I am happy to know that the 18mm f1.8 and 70-300mm are in your God tier! One of those will be mine. Thank you again. have

  • @stevenchristides
Appreciate the input and your thoughts about the lenses and the list was pretty helpful! Where would you put the 35 -50 and 80mm T2.0, 7Artisans lenses?
  • @djcrash77
Ouch on the Sigma 14-24 F2.8! 😔 That's my daily workhorse for RE photography and I love it! Love your input though! I agree on quite a few of your choices!
