In 2020 I animated a voicemail from my Dad and it was so much fun to make that I wanted to continue make more voicemail animations. Well… 2 years later and I finally have another one 🤣 — When my friend sent me this voicemail from his Dad, we knew it had the potential for greatness 🥜.

If you're interested in submitting a voicemail for me to potentially animate, please fill out the following form (a gmail account is necessary):

I love how confused he looks after "I just had a peanut"

I love how he leaves absolutely no information in the voicemail except that he just had a peanut. Why did he call? What does Dad want? We have no idea. This is such a Dad thing to do.

I love how the whole peanut experience made him forget why he was calling and leaving a voicemail 😂😂

My favorite part about the voicemail (the animation is too good for me to even talk about), is I don't know why it was sent at all. By best guess is he wanted to say something, but then started choking so diced to just say bye thinking he'll just say it later.

Pretty sure Deans dad is now well known for being the animated pigeon who choked on a peanut while recording a voicemail and he may never know

The little movement in his eyes when he's contemplating is so cute!

My favorite part about this is that it just sounds like he called to tell his son he had a peanut 😂

This is wonderful, its no wonder you work for Disney, among other things!! I remember seeing another one of your bird animations of a voicemail from your dad a while back too (equally as good). Super amazing work, so much soul and life in your animations :)

This is still the most powerful voicemail yet. The sheer strength in calling just to cough and admit you had a peanut, and nothing else before hanging up. Fantastic

I think what makes this even better is that the dad sounds like such a sweet old guy, but the poor guy is just over here choking on a peanut. And it sounded like he just called his son to tell him. It's so funny and wholesome. That paired with the animation makes this video bring me so much joy
  • Lost my dad a year ago today. Wish I had a voicemail like this.

I feel like you’ve upgraded a weird, funny little moment into an important and cherishable family memory and no I’m not joking. Long live Pigeon Dad.
  • I love the detail on how he only becomes expressive once he starts the voicemail. He’s just animated like an actual pigeon for the most part beforehand and it’s a nice touch
  • I love the way you elevated the message with the bird’s facial expressions, his face when he says “talk to you later, bye” had me crying 😂

This is perfect, now when people ask me why I don't have a voicemail I'll just send them this video.
  • Love the transition from “no thoughts behind those eyes” to Dean’s dad 😆
  • i feel so bad for that dad for some reason hes so unbelievably wholesome and sounded like he wanted to say something but choked on the peanut so he didnt say what he wanted to😭
