The Truth About Nico Rosberg

Hello everyone and welcome to my latest video. A bit of a change of pace as I delve into the 2016 season and explain why Nico Rosberg's world title was down to more than just bad luck for his teammate. I hope you enjoy it and if you do feel free to like, comment and subscribe!

That Niki Lauda interview I mentioned:    • Niki Lauda: Blaming Lewis Hamilton or...

Had it been Lewis’ engine fail in 2014 in Abu Dhabi, in stead of Nico’s, Nico would have won in 2014. At the end, you need to be right there to have a chance to win. And Nico certainly was as good as Hamilton in those 2 years
  • Well done. I was hoping that you might have presented some of the financial considerations of Nico's retirement since he conveniently got in the way of the ordained one's ascent to eight. Or, that you might have mentioned that Toto swapped out their garage crews for the season which also helped Nico immensely as he was as well supported as Lewis had been. Or that Lewis hijacked several of Nico's key crewmen and mechanics when he arrived at MB and Nico kindly agreed to share, only to his own hurt. I always derive great pleasure reminding all of the Lewis cult that Nico beat Lewis and it is amazing how they cannot contain themselves from responding, most often in vitriolic fashion. They are a cult. Maybe you'll do one on Lewis being half white? ;-)
  • For me personally, nico rosberg is fellipe massa with a championship. Massa lost 2007 in a championship capable car, and 2008 in the same fashion but more extreme. I think that if massa didnt get a head injury in 2009, he's legacy would have matched that of rosberg, due to the fact that in my opinion, in 2010 he would have been in title contention the whole season, and if the pendulum swung differently he could have won, and nico, in the same fashion, lost the world championship twice in a row, and then won 2016 with streches that for me, can be considerd one of the best non hamilton and vettel seasons since 2006.

I agree, I think that they were probably evenly matched. If i remember correctly he won around 6 in a row at the beginning of the season before unfortunate spain crash. This season was eerily similar to 2014 but with rosberg winning more and lewis making just the little small mistakes. Also if he didn't retire I doubt it would cause the same disregard, and we would get to see another silver war instead of bottas

Nico actually beat Lewis in 2014 in qualifying. How many teammates have ever done that?
