Love an unhaul! It's such an easy way to feel totally refreshed. I think the only book you should take a second look at is Raybearer, but of course you can always get it from the library and don't need every book you're ever interested in on your shelves (this is something I'm trying to learn)
  • Congrats on not only being on booktok for 6 years but also for reaching 100k subscribers ❤ I’m so happy and proud of you (:

I hate to be that person, but if you were going to give any book a chance I would suggest Raybearer. I almost unhauled it without reading it and I read the first chapter and was immediately hooked! It was surprising and so good!

Really weird suggestion but on the atles six could you swap the dust jacket so you can keep the fancy sprayed edges but still be with the sequels
  • Congrats for 6 years! I'm recently getting into the world of booktube and I love it so much! There are some books I want to unhaul, but the YA books I loved especially growing up, I don't think I could ever get rid of them.

I've unhaul my collection before I move two weeks ago, and like you I found my taste in genre has changes a lot.

Seeing this unhaul made me realize I would love to see a shelf tour with your new set up! Having a wall of bookshelves is a life goal of mine😍

I adore your channel! So glad it exists ❤

You look gorgeous! Thank you for telling me about Pierce Brown. I genuinely appreciate it. I had been thinking about checking out the Red Rising series for some time after seeing it get recommended a couple of times but knowing that his position is harmful regarding an ongoing genocide has made me not want to do it anymore. Before anyone says that it's 'cancel culture' or I shouldn't care about his personal opinions, people have the right to choose who to support or not with their time and money. It's not cancel culture to not want to support an author who has taken some part in denying the humanity of people. People who don't care about an author's racism or bigotry often tend to be those who aren't targeted by it.

I have really gotten into audiobooks lately, especially because I can listen to them anywhere as long as I have my phone. They have really helped me tackle my tbr in a big way. Plus it's great for before bed because you can put it on a timer to play to a point, so you can fall asleep listening.

I have also started unhauling books. The books get a new home and I get space on my bookshelves.

The only one that hurt me was Butcher and Blackbird as that was one of my favorite books of the year. But if it's not your thing it's not your thing. I can relate to phasing out of books and some of the ones I've let go were also in this stack.

Ok so hear me out: if you were to just read one from this whole unhaul, it should be Raybearer. I had it in my audible app for like 3 years cause I got it for dirt cheap and kept putting off actually reading it because I don't read YA fantasy anymore, but when I DID finally get to it it was absolutely amazing and I devoured the duology in less than a week. While it does have some themes typical of YA, it's surprisingly mature and relatable, even as an adult!

How do you get rid of the books? Do you donate them do the library or resell somewhere?
  • @anaarfilm
Glad you told us we can mention books you should keep!!!! Because I think Ifueko discusses adult themes in Raybearer but just in a YA setting! and in my opinion the sequel gets even better! Hope you read it 😸

Love your videos and your constant unwavering support of Palestine! ❤
  • Honestly The Guinevere Deception is an all time favorite for me, but I don't know how much you'd enjoy it. IT DOES have a queer woman as Lancelot, which I really adored, and the way it retold the Arthurian legend was extremely fun and exciting. I still need to read the third book, but the first two were extremely fun and I'll always remember how much of a good time I had reading them!
  • The only one that hurt me is Raybearer, I loved it when I first read it!! It felt like the author wrote the story just for me. Unfortunately, the sequel didn’t live up to my expectations 💔 The same thing happened with Bloodmarked

I love that you have the flag of Palestine ♥️ thank you
