TWISTERS | Official Trailer
#TwistersMovie is only in theaters July 19.
This summer, the epic studio disaster movie returns with an adrenaline-pumping, seat-gripping, big-screen thrill ride that puts you in direct contact with one of nature’s most wondrous—and destructive—forces.
From the producers of the Jurassic, Bourne and Indiana Jones series comes Twisters,
a current-day chapter of the 1996 blockbuster, Twister. Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, the Oscar® nominated writer-director of Minari, Twisters stars Golden Globe nominee Daisy Edgar-Jones (Where the Crawdads Sing, Normal People) and Glen Powell (Anyone But You, Top Gun: Maverick) as opposing forces who come together to try to predict, and possibly tame, the immense power of tornadoes.
Edgar-Jones stars as Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years who now studies storm patterns on screens safely in New York City. She is lured back to the open plains by her friend, Javi (Golden Globe nominee Anthony Ramos, In the Heights) to test a groundbreaking new tracking system. There, she crosses paths with Tyler Owens (Powell), the charming and reckless social-media superstar who thrives on posting his storm-chasing adventures with his raucous crew, the more dangerous the better.
As storm season intensifies, terrifying phenomena never seen before are unleashed, and Kate, Tyler and their competing teams find themselves squarely in the paths of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma in the fight of their lives.
Twisters features an exciting new cast, including Nope’s Brandon Perea, Sasha Lane (American Honey), Daryl McCormack (Peaky Blinders), Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Nik Dodani (Atypical) and Golden Globe winner Maura Tierney (Beautiful Boy).
From Amblin Entertainment, Twisters is directed by Lee Isaac Chung and is produced by Oscar® nominee Frank Marshall (Jurassic and Indiana Jones franchises) and by Patrick Crowley (Jurassic and Bourne franchises). The screenplay is by Mark L. Smith, writer of the Best Picture nominee The Revenant. Twisters will be distributed by Universal Pictures domestically and by Warner Bros. Pictures internationally.

R.I.P Bill Paxton Twister is my 1 of top 2 movies ever I hope it lives up to the original! 💪🏾
Twister brings back a ton of 90s nostalgia for me. Its the reason why I fell in love with weather and storm chasing. Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt were the best. Not to mention Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Dusty! RIP so many great actors. I hope this is a good sequel and honors the first movie!
The original twister movie will always be my first and foremost favourite childhood memory, R.I.P billy, and dusty ❤️🙏
I loved the original Twister movie. I saw it dozens of times. I hoped there would be a sequel but it was an Unrealized idea, unrealized until now.🙂🌪 🌪
I was obsessed with Twister (1996) while growing up. It's so cool to see a whole new generation get to enjoy their own version of what i used to love.
It is awesome to see that Glen is going to be in this movie. He is truly making a name for himself being in these movies
the cow flying across the road in the first movie is still iconic
Never forget it. I sat with my first little crush on her daddy’s armchair when were in God must have been first grade. She put this vhs in and we felt so slick. We were breakin the rules. Up late and watchin an “adult movie”. I remember I blushed when she climbed in the armchair beside me and just snuggled up. Great memories can’t wait to see this one it looks amazing!
I have Twister on VHS, dvd and Blu-ray and Prime for a reason.. This was the most epic flick and must have seen it a 1000x times. Twister and the original Jurassic park. Golden age.
I am from turkey. I was in 7th grade when I first saw this movie. I'm so excited for the new one.
Holy Mackerel. Twister is now making a sequel to the 1996 movie? AWESOME! : )
0:35 for anyone wondering, this is Orienta Oklahoma, just in between Fairview and Cleo Springs, i was able to see the film crew working on the movie!
The original movie was an inspiration for me to become a meteorologist. This past year I got to be on my first research campaign chasing tornados. And then this comes out. I feel like I’ve come full circle.
I am from Sri Lanka. Twister wasn't shown here in theatres if I'm not mistaken in 1996. But it was the first DVD I ever watched back in 2000. The ariel tracking shot from corn fields to the the red truck with the sweeping music was the hook for me, and still is..... Let 'Twisters' do justice to the original
I was beyond excited when i saw this as an ad on YouTube. Babysitting my nephews, and suddenly i see clips of familiar scenes. I waited with anticipation to see if it was finally what i had been wanting for a long time, and there it was. I started squeeling like a girl.
This movie was a core part of my childhood. It made me fall in love with meteorolgy. Though i never pursued it, I definitely became addicted to storm chasing and watching "storm stories" on weather channel. Sometimes i watched the forecast for fun, just to hear the meteorology talk.
Though nothing beats Speilberg's classic and the original cast like Bill Paxton, Helen Hunt and Phillip Hoffman, and others,... i am SO EXCITED to see a remake.
I will definitely be seeing this in Imax. My inner child is waiting for what feels like Christmas morning when i go see this movie!!!
Ill never forget the Drive In scene of the original. It was terrifying but epic and exciting at the same time
1:23 is some of the best CGI I have seen in a long time, the level of detail and physics of the tornado and the environment around it is unbelievable
Nothing will ever out do, the original Twister movie. It's been one of my favorite movies since I was eight years old. Fell in love with tornados then. I feel its one of those movies that should never be attempted to be re-done ever.
What made Twister (1996), so iconic
1. Bill Paxton
2. Philip Seymour Hoffman
3. Helen Hunt
3. Van Halen Soundtrack
4. 1995 Dodge Ram
6. F-5 Tornados
7. Aunt Meg’s Breakfast
8. “The Suck-Zone.”
I just don’t think you can capture the magic of the first.
There hasn’t been a movie in YEARS that I wanted 2 see so bad!! 💯🤑💸💯 Rest Easy Bill
