Michael Faraday made extensive studies of the electric eel in his investigations of electricity and allowed himself to get electrocuted many times by touching its head and tail. This is a preview of a 12 minute film I am working on that tells the story of how the electric eel helped him form his views on electric fields and much else and shows how he used his notebooks to make discoveries such as the first continuous electric generator - a dynamo - that would change the world.
