Not just Europe, China also has a similar system. And it's new, not of the world war era. They call it skytrain

What Bengaluru needs is re- structuring of its transporation system, Japan had faced a similar problem, and they came up with a unique and organic way of dealing with it. And it wasnt just for the sake of it, a lot of thought process went behind choosing that particular system (fungus transportation system). Not necessarily we need the same approach, but we need to think outside the box, and by that i dont mmean a cheap jugaad

the thing is , bengaluru doesn't have enough land to make more metro's even existing metro's are elevated

You're right, it's not feasible in Bengaluru, but it definitely is feasible in Goa. Tourist places have become breeding grounds for scams in India, and out of so many kinds of scams, local private transportation has become a massive nuisance for tourists (Auto and taxi drivers charging unreasonable prices for short distances). Skybus solves this issue very elegantly, as a systematic reliable, and affordable transportation system that does not harm the ecology and does not disturb the locals. This could be replicated not just in Goa, but in other tourist spots in the country too. P.S. suspended trains are popular in Japan and China too, besides europe. Built in later 20th century.

Considering the shortage of space in Bengaluru, underground metro would be the best option there to reduce traffic congestion.
  • I think now the technology would get proportionally advanced as compared to the Goa sky bus initial technological advancements....

the most simple logic would be that people want to travel in large numbers and not in small numbers, local train or metros are the only solution for this problem as the road traffic is not going to go away, and it will be more conjusted in the future due to rising sell of cars and bikes.

Hi #PowerTrain can you make a detailed report about Raipur's Skywalk Project. It's actually needed or a big elephant only.

What about aesthetics maybe not best for Bengaluru but it is great for hilly regions as we cannot make underground metro stations there and it will also bring more tourism because of aesthetics
