Little does Hannah know, this is every Asian child’s life
  • Random fact: Capybaras are the most likely species of animal that will pull up

I love kate , how even after living with a toxic mom she's kind and has a mind of her own. Great lesson by the way 👍
  • @WinterKidIV.
Being rich/wealthy doesn't mean you're better than everybody else because life is not a competition. Rather be compassionate of others than to be overly competitive & egotistical because that attitude won't get you anywhere in life. A better life can be what you make of it today.💯 Thank you, Dhar Mann, for giving us the lessons that we needed to learn & the bigger picture that we needed to see clearly. You are an inspiration to us all.👑💯
  • ''Everyone has their own path in life, we shouldn't compare it to anyone else's'' Great quote. Good job on this video

Honestly, I absolutely despise it when parents force something on to you, blame you if it isn’t going well, and especially when you tell them that you don’t even want to do it and they tell you “ I’m doing what’s best for you, you’ll thank me when you’re older.” Edit: Some of you guys are missing the point. Obviously if someone is doing bad at something like math or English then you should help them. BUT what I’m talking about is if someone is already good at those thing and you still force them to do extra work or make someone do something as unnecessary as playing the violin, ( if it’s not what they’re into ) Also STOP TRYING TO COME UP WITH COMEBACKS THAT HAVE NOTHING TO WITH WHAT IT IS TALKING ABOUT LIKE “I obviously wanna chill and watch Netflix but I can’t because we all have stuff we don’t want to do but have to anyway” To the person who said this watch the video and tell me do you have to play tennis or the violin to succeed in life no, no you don’t and stop trying to comment stuff about things that aren’t relevant to my comment.

As a Junior in high school taking several AP classes, this hit home pretty hard
  • Everything in life is not a competition. Don't waste your time comparing your life to others. Everyone has their own path in life. Thanks Dhar, for this inspirational lesson!
  • I honestly feel so bad for the mom, she just wanted to help her daughter while the rich mom just shamed her for it. Lovely message, keep it up!
  • Being rich doesn't give youthe right to downgrade and humiliate other people. Parents mustn't compare or peer pressure kids to do things which they don't like but helping and supporting them to follow their dreams. Thanks Dhar for the inspiration
  • It is correctly shown that everyone has their own path, and Kate and Hannah understood it.

can we talk about how good of a friend kate is? she was very happy for hannah despite hannah taking her spotlight
  • @itsglby
9:44 "Guess that Paganini needs a little work" thats Vivaldi 😭😭
  • "your children are not your children. they are the sons and daughters of life longing for itself. they come through you but not from you. you can give them your love but not your thoughts" ~ Khalil Gibran
  • As well as the message of never torturing yourself just to please others, the other message is to be grateful for what you have and never compare your life to another. Being rich isn't important; you should be grateful you have family, a roof over your head etc, and you should never pressure those you love just to please others as comparing to others is never healthy; the most important is supporting your peers or children to follow what they want in life! I love this video and I love Katherine Norland! This was a great video and it sort of reminds me of the love and support I always get from my family no matter what!

Many Asian parents and children can relate to this story. The pressure by parents on kids to excel can sometimes be overwhelming. At least the mother chose the daughter’s happiness over wealth and prestige.
  • Hannah is like me, I hate math, history and other school subjects and only am interested in Art and English. But my mom wants the best, she still supports me tho but yeah. I'm building my own path, a successful artist and not some mathematics education teacher because someone wants me to. Great message 💞
  • @shadowx2652
She’s so right about everyone having their own paths in life. College isn’t meant for everyone. And she never should’ve gave in to her mothers demands
