I can not stress how beneficial paddle drills have been for me, especially in the beginning phases of my pickleball journey.

I didn't come from a tennis background so there was a lot I needed to catch up on as a beginner: primarily, getting really comfortable with my paddle.

  • Perfect for fine-tuning skills even when I can't hit the court. Thanks for the awesome tips! Time to grab my new Oliver-Sport paddle and get to work, haha

I really appreciate you talked about trying to catch the ball to develop soft hands, and the paddle roll. From playing tennis for a long time before pickleball, these exact drills are mandatory to practice softening a player’s hands. Touch is vital in pickleball and you see a ton of instruction on YouTube talk about needing soft hands but less really showing how to get soft hands. So big props on that

Excellent drills! Bad weather, no partners, no court time are no longer reasons we can’t work on the most important basic eye-hand-dexterity skills. I can’t love this video enough and I’m hoping Santa leave a TopSpin Pro under my tree! 👏👏👏
  • This is one of the best basic tutorials I have seen yet. Great job young man. Thank you
