“ where exactly did the “force” touch you.” Law and order special Jedi unit

“We thought this planet was uninhabited” “Well it is now” Ha! Good timing Alan.
  • In my opinion the Jedi's fundamental flaw is that they fear the dark side and attempt to eradicate it; rather than viewing the force as 1 whole and truly finding balance of emotion and all aspects of the force. It's like thinking anger is a singularly negative emotion. If you're angry about some injustice and you use that anger to enact solutions, then you have used anger as a gift. It matters how you use anger, but pretending we can suppress anger or any other emotion is a fools errand.

Of all the Star Wars channels out there Alan, this is still bay far the best one there is. For so many reasons mate! Lore, depth, context, humour…keep up the great work sir!

If Master Roe didn’t recall Sol back to the Temple, they could’ve gotten to the Wookie sooner

Alan, I don’t know if this is a Star Wars channel or a psychology channel but I am enjoying the deep dive analysis you’ve been doing. Thank you.

I don't think Vernestra is corrupt and I don't think she knows what really happened on Brendok. I do think she's going to make the same mistake Master Farfalla made by being too impatient and rash, when he learned Darth Bane was still around he tried and go to destroy the Sith immediately instead of warning the Jedi Council of the threat, which ended poorly. Because one aspect of Vernestra's character from the books that seems consistent during the Show when she's 100 years older is that she tends to not ask for the Council's permission when she thinks something needs to be done, she goes and does it and then debriefs the Council afterwards...only this time sadly I don't think she'll get the chance to make that debrief.
  • One thing I find funny is that her name Vernestra sounds like a cholesterol medication. "I talked to my doctor and he prescribed Vernestra."

I am impressed that you're able to generate these actually thoughtful videos so frequently. You bring a sense of someone that actually has life experience and how that plays into the story telling, rather than someone who only obsesses about star wars and can't see the bigger picture.
  • Finally, a person with a brain and empathy. Thank you Generation Tech.

Alan, I wanted to take a second to be sincere. While I enjoy Star Wars, I feel I enjoy your take on it more. I tend to just look just under the surface but not a deep dive. To stay immersed in the story. I like coming here after viewing various things myself to get a thoughtful breakdown from possibly a certain point of view. I know things can be rough in the comments but just know there are more that are silent that thank you.
  • thanks for not being cringe, keep it up. the subs numbers are proving your points for you
  • I must tell You that for several years I had several favorite channels creating content about Star Wars, but since Acolyte, Your channel has definitely taken the lead and is the undisputed number one for me. Good selection of content, pleasant voice, deep thoughts, interesting analyses, thanks for what You do

Bro, that comment about having a brush with death w/o loved ones... it hit home... I've had a couple close calls (no exaggeration). 1st one was from my single 20's and it's just one of my "wild adventure" stories. 2nd incident in my late 30's with a SO that I'm planning on preposing to within the next month. Seeing her face the day I came home from the hospital broke something in me (in a good way). I realized that I'm happy with my life and want to fight to keep it as long as I can. The world/life still has so much to offer.
  • I was fascinated when, in ep 4, a bit of the old Vern slipped out after the meeting. When she referenced “Mae” as a “poor girl.” The genuine compassion and concern, as well as frustration with Sol… I sat up and pointed, yelling, “There she is!” (To which was my spouse—not a big SW fan, but who watches the shows with me and generally enjoys them—was like “Whaaaaa…???”)
