Working as a Disneyland princess sounds like living in a fairytale but there is a lot that goes into acting like our favorite Disney characters. Not everything is as magical as it seems, especially once we go over the 10 Secrets Disneyland Princesses Are NOT Allowed To Talk About.

From meeting height requirements, to not having a choice in what princess you’ll perform as, auditioning to become a Disneyland princess is a lot harder than it looks. Once an actor is selected, they then have to maintain appearances, lock down social media, use code words, how to point, sign authentic princess autographs, and even pick up trash! The process never ends, though. Age and appearance are very important in order to ensure they are approved of and can keep their jobs every six months! Watch until the end to see how being a Disneyland princess comes with a serious set of risks!

As someone with tattoos myself, I actually agree with the no tattoos rule. The only time I would disagree with it, would be in the case of Pocahontas, the tattoo around her arm. If someone was playing Pocahontas and they had that tattoo, I think it should be allowed, but only if it was the tattoo she has. Otherwise no. It would ruin the illusion.

Princesses and other characters shouldn’t have tattoos, it would break the illusion. However, tattoos should be allowed for other workers who don’t play characters, or who play fur characters that are completely covered.

I understand the tattoo and piercing rules but I feel that being fired for having an acne breakout isn’t okay because someone really can’t control having a breakout

If the costumes are a danger they need to be redesigned with lighter materials. Clearly their costumers are not using the best durable and light weight materials if the frames are breaking bones. They should find cosplayers, fursuiters, and wedding dress designers who actually know how to make elaborate and safe gowns and costumes with amazing accuracy to complex, historical, and creative designs.
  • Actors are playing a ROLE, and their role is ZERO tattoos. There is NOTHING discriminatory about that. It is THEIR job.

So they can't tell friends and family that they had a good day at work? How rude
  • @ACPhias
Once I yelled who are you? To one of the princesses and then she yelled “ WHO ARE YOU?”
  • @immylyons
I think the tattoo rule makes sense because seeing a princess with a tattoo and then the same one without would be confusing for little kids!
