The Mid South is one of the most unique festivals I’ve ever been a part of. Part Gravel Bike Race and part Music festival, I joined forces with ‪@jhspedals‬ to improvise an hour set at this festival, playing bass. It was a blast. Thanks to ‪@themidsouth‬ for having us, I can’t wait for next year.

Josh is such an original and inventive player. i have been missing his playing on the JHS channel. Never boring.
  • seeing Addison again, tears to my eyes, awesome play by the four of you at the end, I'm digging this band so much.

The fact that Rhett seems to be living the life and seems to make fast friends with everyone he comes into contact with keep me coming back to this channel as much as the actual guitar content itself. The event itself seems awesome on this one.

I have never commented on any post, anywhere, anytime. This was great Rhett. Thank you for sharing these amazing people and a truly wonderful event.

Why did that DFL segment at the end make me a bit emotional, though??? Oh yeah, because humans can have such a capacity for good and are built for community, however that might look. Awesome vid, great vibes

This was all so awesome, but the very last part... beyond words.

"you know what we gotta do; Jazz Odyssey" "we are not about to do a freeform, eh, "jazz exploration" in front of a festival crowd" 5 minutes later "you are witnesses at the birth of spinal tap II; hope you enjoy our new direction"

Dude thank you so much for sharing this. I wish I could’ve seen you guys play, it looks like it was so much fun! And the music you all make is soo good. I love when talented musicians such as Josh Rhett Nick and Addison come together and put on an amazing show with their musicality, friendship, and creativity. Seriously, that performance floored me!

I miss Josh. JHS YouTube just seems like it hasn't been as interested in their prior gig since Addison left...

You 4 absolutely need to start a real band. I was digging the sounds coming off that stage at the end. Yall rock!
  • @beezersurf

This is literally the only reason I could ever think wanting to go to Oklahoma. Looks so fun.
  • Dude this was such a cool video. And just so chill, I'm recovering from being in the hospital for the better part of a week and this really lifted me up and gave me the urge to pick up my guitar, which I haven't had the desire or energy to do since I went in. Thank you Rhett, Tilly, and Josh!
  • @jandejongh
I can literally feel Josh's utter pain trying to decide which pedals to bring to the stage... Great vid Rhett, great gig, thanks!
