  • You are one of the best boat builder I ever have seen. And your wife’s patience, and also hers editing and filming skills is super. Keep up your amazing work

The craftsmanship on this project is spectacular and this boat will be the jewel in any harbor...

WOW, Magic Carpet 2 is really coming together beautifully! We were walking through Hellevotsluis here in The Netherlands a couple of weeks ago and stopped to admire a lovely sailboat tied up in the canal. We asked the owner if it was a Vindo to which he replied "Yes, it's a Vindo 50". We told him we follow a young couple...We couldn't even finish the sentence before he exclaimed "Yes! Magic Carpet!". It seems you have fans all over the planet. ❤

Maya, did I ever tell you I love your music? It is an expression of you, you and your character. You are beautiful. I love Aladino too but I love great music and you are great musician. This whole rebuild is turning into a musical rebuild and that is so wonderful about it all.
  • @GregBird
Phew... was having magic carpet withdrawals. Glad you are both back and feeling better. I am sick as a dog the past 4 days. Blech.
  • Nice to see that most of sailboat refit 'suffering' is behind you. I can imagine that especially the lady will be happy that her home is coming together so beautifully.
  • @GregPaul01760
Each line of your story is like a little drop of gold that we find together. Thank you and Aladino for sharing your journey.
  • What a gorgeous boat. Aladino, you are a craftsman and artisan of the first rate. Maya, your varnishing looks way better than anything I have ever done. I hope I get to see MC2 in person someday!
  • @I-0-0-I
Awww man, 10 seconds in and reminded that it’s always the best, most tasteful music. Such a good intro Maya. Still want Maya to go to a club and dance to repetitive music with Dino though. A person can dream.
  • @4437RR
Wonderful music. Wonderful craftsmanship. Wonderful episode!
  • @rickdoner5181
That bronze hardware looks perfect! Loving that look with that shade of woodwork.
  • @robertgold2643
Still stumped by how the boat gets more beautiful every week 🙏
  • @til7545

Your SV channel is next level -- so different from all the others. Artistic; poetic even. Maya your music is awe-inspiring (I am a writer/musician myself). I appreciate the rebuilds and the builds but please you two -- get back out on the water and romance us with your world exploration again!
  • @Aussie_Michael
Having followed your journey refitting Magic Carpet II form the beginning it is so good to be able to share your joy in reaching the stage where you are adding ‘boat bling’ rather that ripping off rotten balsa insulation. You are an incredible couple, each supporting the other. I wish you continued joy and happiness and can’t wait to see the motor glide totally problem free into place as I am sure it will after the practice runs using Brian’s full-size template. As health problems have finally forced me to sell my much loved Top Hat 25 and become an armchair sailor the highlight of my week is watching the skill, craftsmanship and pride you both put in to Magic Carpet II. Thank you for the privilege of being able to vicariously watch over your shoulders.
  • @jwwebnaut7045
Hey Maya, "too high to reach lying down, too low to do sitting up." That's the inverse of a medieval torture chamber called "Oubliette": too low to stand up, too short to lie down 😅 Happy contortioning!
  • That boat is really coming along. Can’t wait to see it float ❤️
