Basically they’re trying to make Fortnite/GTA online. Every company wants one. It’s why there’s not a lot of focus on regular single player games.

Suicide squad in particular kinda feels like hate towards Arkham fans. Especially with Harley's speech to Batman before she "killed" him. I refuse to believe that Bruce doesn't wear a bullet-proof mask XD

The answer is a lot simpler: Those were money sucking live services not real videogames of course they were gonna fail. Gotham Knights very obviously was going to be a live service but they chickened out and tried to take out the live service but couldn't do so enough.

The sad thing is, Avengers is the best out of all of these games.

Gotham Knights is the best out of the bunch. I had some enjoyment from it, where as Avengers and Suicide Squad wasn't even worth the download.

When it comes to the casting choices of Marvel Adventure, Insomniac Spiderman 2018 game features a protagonist that looks NOTHING like Tom Holland and yet it worked (especially when it came out). Had the Avengers game been good no one would bat an eye.

theres a reason why the spiderman coop game was canceled, because it would've been hard to make it work, sure the idea is cool but how many street thugs are you gonna beat up till it gets stale

CEOs make shortsighted, nonsensical decisions and demand that studios destroy themselves chasing trends to please shareholders who honestly seem to think that a game company could somehow make the infinite money glitch work in real life. They don't care how good the product is, how badly it impacts the industry or their employees, or if it burns the studio itself down. All they care about is making the numbers go up enough next quarter to make themselves look good to ensure their next fat bonus. If it fails, then the workers who did all they could and beloved games get the axe so the studio can be sold for parts and ensure that the company can file for more tax breaks for the loss.

I dreamed of the day I could play multiplayer story games w/ 4 players. Still dreaming.
